Replaces the cover that doesn't have a passthrough. Easy to swap. Now I can use the port for hooking up a mic without the battery falling out.

This battery door cover fits my GoPro12 perfectly. The cover allows you to connect a charging cable without opening it and it should have better cooling with the holes allowing for air flow. It is easy to put on and very tight. I had to use a screwdriver to pop mine off.It is NOT water tight so don’t get it wet when using this battery door cover.

If you need to shave a little weight from your gopro, and/or need to plug in usb without opening the side door, this thing is perfect! It's a bit on the tight side to remove, but does remove, and I appreciate the extra security. Highly recommended

Fit perfectly although only 4 stars cause its a pretty hard to remove. You need a flat head screwdriver or something like to get the cover off
