It’s NOT 1.5 inches. Barely 1.25. Even though that doesn’t sound very different it IS. The black one IS 1.5.

These discs are great for the price point. I got this set when it was available in green (I see that right now, it's only in red) and another set from the same company in purple. The color, size, and quality are consistent. So far, I've used them with GSM 120 and 140 paper and with plastic dividers. Mounting the discs into the discbound hole punches was quick and easy, and the ridge depth allowed smooth page-turning.I was worried the diameter would be too big, but it turns out that I really like this size disc for folders and presentations, as they make the binder look and feel more substantial. But for journals, I prefer a smaller diameter, so that my journal feels thinner and more personal.
