I loooove this quilt! It does seem complicated, but the secret it to be very, very organized. I had little paper tags safety-pinned onto each shape, of each colour. I had each colour in its own bag, marked with the number of the colour. It’s like those math problems with twenty steps. Just one step at a time, and you’ll do fine. Patty has made the instructions wonderfully clear, with pictures and very simple directions. I wouldn’t add or change a thing. One suggestion for working it up, save trimming the blocks until you’ve completed assembling the columns, so you don’t lose any more width than you need to. I’m so thrilled with how this has turned out!

This pattern arrived very quickly and is just gorgeous! But I didn't realize until it arrived that it's for intermediate or advanced quilters. The instructions are very clear and well written as far as I could tell, and I hope that one day I'll be ready to quilt at this level. But for now I'll have to pass. If you're farther along in your quilting skills, though, please give it a try. It looks fabulous!

As other reviews suggest, be very organized. I too used paper labels clipped to each block and kept every fabric in a numbered bag. I would add an instruction for the mountain blocks to clarify how to make right or left hand blocks as I had to remake several before I figured out how to discern. I do love the pattern and will post my picture once it is all together!
