I've been dabbling in watercolor and am looking for better but not overwhelmingly costly watercolor brushes, and these fit the bill perfectly! They hold a good amount of water and don't dry out like cheap brushes, there isn't any shedding of the bristles and they keep their shape when properly cared. I am very happy with this purchase and at the price point for which I paid.

These brushes hold a lot of water! I’m very much enjoying using them and really appreciate all the different sizes. I paint daily, i can’t say for sure that I use these *every* day, but I’d say if not, it’s been close and I’ve had them for a month now with no signs of wear or a bent tip. I would say to give these a try before spending $$ on more expensive ones to see how they perform. You may just be happily surprised. ;) Happy Painting!

I am just beginning to learn about watercoloring. I have some really cheep brushes and I felt like better brushes might make my experience more fun. I was correct! These are so much better than the brushes that came with the beginner set that I ordered. They do not shed hairs. The hold the paint and a point at the same time. They have a nice bounce back, and they feel great in my hand. I am just learning so I don't have a lot to compare to, but I am very happy with them and the price. Until I know better, These are serving me perfectly.I recommend them. If I needed to, I would order them again.

I used both an inexpensive and top-quality brand of tubed watercolor paints with these brushes. The brushes held enough water for lasting strokes of paint. When rinsing the brushes, the old paint color quickly washed out because the paint did not adhere to the synthetic squirrel bristles. With some inexpensive watercolor paints, I find that they adhere to the bristles, making color transitioning time-consuming. The brushes did a perfect job of balancing paint with water on the bristles. The wood handles felt good in my hand and gave me solid placement and control of my strokes. I did not find a single bristle in my painting. The brushes did not shed at all. I was pleased with the variety in size of the four round brushes. These brushes are well worth the investment.

I really wasn't sure what to expect from these brushes. I love Paul Rubens paints. They are some of my favorites, so I thought I would try the brushes. I can't speak to longevity, but I've been using them about a week, and the points are top notch! They seem to be working really well, and are quite enjoyable to use.

They hold the paints well. They are firm and have a good snap. They also mop well.

I’ve used a fair share of watercolour and acrylic paint brushes and I have concluded that synthetic brushes are better and more forgiving than natural hair paint brushes when it comes to care. These synthetic brushes are soft and provide a smooth and silky stroke on paper. They are also a lot less likely to deform and splay over time. These rounded brushes are great for everyday painting and are good for students to intermediate artists.I got the size 1, 3, 5, 7 set and thought they were a bit too large for the small watercolour paper I usually paint on. Given the quality of these brushes, I might just have to get the 0, 2, 4, 6 brushes to complete the set.
