I am new to quilting and very interested in using the quilt as you go method. This handbook is quite thorough and packed with information from an expert who has taught patchwork and quilting for 30 years. As she says, it is not a design book. It is a technique book specifically for various quilt as you go methods. She also describes several tools that can make the process easier and improve results. When you consider the scope of topics covered, and the excellent color close-up photo illustrations, I think this handbook is well worth the price.

Pauline's videos popped up on my Youtube feed so I thought I'd watch to see her method. She is a great teacher and her products are amazing. After I ordered this book I read it from cover to cover. I then starting slowly purchasing Pauline's products from her website (don't buy knock offs of her sashing tools). This is a great book to learn and use even if you don't purchase her sashing tools.

Very good reference book for beginners on up. Yes she does talk about tools of the trade. But these tool are useful in all types of quilting, not just qayg. And there are yips that I've never tried that I found really work. Yes it's a little pricey. But a good reference book is worth it. I wished I had purchased this sooner.

I like it because it's spiral bound and a good book. It is not what I expected in a quilt as you go book.

good photos, a variety of possible projects, but sometimes, instructions lacked specific details for a "quilt as you go" complete novice like me.

I just barely got the book today so I haven't had time to go completely thru it but it looks like it has great information. My only disappointment was that the book is so small in size for the price. I expected a larger book.

If you have never quilted before and need essential info on a quilt as you go technique, then this book is good. I thought this book would provide OTHER quilt as you go techniques, which it sadly does not. Very disappointed, of no use to a quilter of over 30 years, so it was returned. Nice quality book with spiral binding.
