We bought a couple basic 5 gal aquariums for our 2 kids to have Betta fish. The original light was just blue, and attached to the lid. We purchased two of these lights as an upgrade, one for each tank.I love that these are separate from the lid. It's convenient for feeding, cleaning, and various other maintenance needs.The lights offer quite a few colors and adjustable intensities. My favorite is the 24 hour cycle. You can easily set the time on the light, and it will go through a 24 hour cycle of light from sunrise to night time! The fish seem to love it.I also love that these are waterproof. I saw some replacement aquarium lights that said avoid splashing. Seriously? In an aquarium?The lights include bars that allow them to be adjusted for various tank sizes. Awesome for that "custom fit".I absolutely love these lights for their variability and multiple functions. I highly recommend them.

I bought this light for waterproof and price, so far so good. My 20gal is too long for it(30in length), but it is bright and nice. I really hope it could be waterproof. The color of light is awesome!

This light is cheap and very easy to use. Included instructions are very clear. I use the automated 24 hour mode, which is set it and forget it.

I did like this light. Easy to set up and you can adjust the intensity. Would buy over the hygger.

Is it supposed to come with the metal legs? Mine didn't, it looked like a nice light? Just wish it would it could use it properly...

I have a 48" tank. I used to use two 24" lights that was plugged into two smart switches. I had Alexa on a timer to go on at 8 and off at 8.THe problem with this is the lights wernt gradual increase in brightness then a gradual decrease in brightness. Im sure I was blinding the poor fish every day in the morning.This light, however not a smart light, does have the 24hr timer. You set the current time and it will start to gradually get brighter as the day starts, then will gradually decrease in brightness in the late afternoon.It then will turn off fully at 10pmIf you dont like that, you can also set whatever color you want on the RGB SpectrumThe device does say waterproof, however, I dont believe it fully is. as I was filling up my tank, some water must have gotten into the assembly and it started flickering. It then turned off and the controller would just light up all its LEDs but nothing on the Light itself.The company did promptly send me a replacement and I was able to send mine back. So moral of the story is, keep it out of water!

This aquarium light is so cool. I love the fact that it has a super easy control box on it. The 24 hour setting it so easy, just hold the hour or minute button down set the time ( it's in military time mode) and wait till it stops flashing then hit the 24 hour button.. so easy. Love it, just wish it came in a 10" size.. no worries though it's still great.

I don't make comments usually but this light is very satisfying. 9modes with times fulfiled the basic needs.Highly recommend if it doesn't have for 2years
