I usually do my own car repairs. Over the years the set I had similar to these have seem to disappear, so I decided it time for a new set. I really like these gauges they look very nice in appearance and come with many accessories to connect to the lines. I do like the small window which shows the refrigerant oil as it moves through the system. the quick connect couplers are great. Overall nice set of AC gauges that comes with a nice sturdy box to keep them in for storage rather than hanging on the side of the toolbox or table and take the risk of knocking them off and damaging. Feron can be expensive, and some do require a license to buy when it comes to HVAC systems. I like these gauges offer use of different types of freon when using the gauges. The small can adapter is great for adding a lb. or so you can buy at local parts house for your vehicle unless you buy the expensive ones that comes with a small gauge showing the temperature after adding. Great item to add to the toolbox or give as a gift to the mechanic you know. Never hurts to save a little money when doing things as long as you got the right tools and knowledge to do so.

Great set of HVAC Manifold gauges from PB Motor Tech BMT. My husband has been wanting a set of HVAC gauges. We have 3 full sized HVAC systems on our home. One section of our home was built in the 1920’s and the other 2 story section was built in 2023.The first thing he noticed about this set was that the site glass will show the liquid or gas moving through the gauges.He mentioned that the HVAC industry is very regulated and some states have stricter regulations than others. Based on the state by state regulations, some types of Freon are not easy to buy without a license.There are places in this case that are empty. Checking the listing, we received all the items shown, so the case must be universal and suited to a larger set than this, in our opinion. He plans to buy caps for the hoses - other than that he says it’s ready to use.I hope our thoughts and photos help someone.

Warning to the reader: I'm reviewing as a non-tech. I ordered this because I intend to self-install a mini-split system, with consulting assistance from a friend who is experienced with refrigeration equipment. The fit/finish of the gauge set looks fine, and it seems to include all needed adapters. My only complaint is that the case is designed so that you can't leave the hoses attached to the gauge manifold, and there are no included plugs/covers to protect the connectors on the hoses. This may be common practice, but leaving the gauge/hose assembled would be a time saver, and it seems logical to protect the hose ends from trash/damage.Unsurprisingly, there are no instructions on use; it's assumed that only a trained tech would be using the test set. I'm looking forward to learning how to use the gauges and getting my mini-split system installed.

I’m a DIYer and I hate when something says “Professional installation onlyâ€, such as mini-split systems. What it usually means is “if you have the right tools, you can DIY, otherwise pay someone lots of money to do it for youâ€. And what guy doesn’t love an excuse to buy another tool?Having used similar equipment before, this one is a complete set for any refrigerant system and comes with all the adapters you probably will need for your home or vehicle. You will need a vacuum pump, but you knew that if you are a DIYer or pro!Note that if you are working on a charged system this is NOT to recover refrigerant! That requires additional equipment. This is only to evacuate new systems or charge systems. Refrigerants are nasty for the environment so don’t mess with that if you don’t know what you’re doing…

Auto A/C NEVER fails when it's cool out (of course), and those 'quick-fix' recharge cans from the local auto parts store can actually cause more problems than they fix. The ONLY way to properly recharge an auto A/C system is by using the right tools and parts, starting with a good set of manifold gauges. For this reason, I've looked at manifold gauges several times over the years but never found a set this nice anywhere near this price. With value like this, there is no reason not to add these to your toolbox!

Getting this in preparation for my upcoming project to service the AC on my 2010 Honda Odyssey, which still blows cold and isn't as cold/efficient after 15 years. The project will be in the summer so, for now, I am providing this review based on the first impression of product quality. Overall, the product is very good with quality materials and constructions. The fittings look great and the hoses are pliable/flexible. And it looks like it includes everything I need, including a hook to hang the gauges under the hood. The plastic casing is decent; it's plastic but provides necessary protection of the kit. It's looking great and I'll update it when I have more to say after the project is done in the summer.
