If you want a decent practice marimba that can easily be put away when not in use, this is a great one. I chose this one over a practice marimba with resonators because I don't have the space for it to stay out full time and needed to store it away quickly (without spending time to take it apart). The sound is what I expected, considering it is a practice marimba and does not have full resonators on the bottom. With the box resonator system, this marimba does have a nice mellow tone. I was worried it would sound more like a practice xylophone but instead it has the rich, smooth sound I had hoped for.

Sounds great easy assembly. Larger than I thought so check dimensions. Good practice instrument.I actually love it.
