our story

Carolina Cookwood began with a conversation between two friends, Bill Deal and Bud Williford, over 10 years ago when wood-fired cooking was on the rise. The market was full of quick and dirty Kiln dried products. Not satisfied, Bill and Bud had a desire to create a “naturally cured – unique crafted curing processed” product in a way that would keep the integrity of the wood flavor. Here you have it, Carolina Cookwood top notch cooking fuel.

Hand-packaged in organic, breathable burlap bags.

Our naturally cured wood is hand packed and delivered to your door in a handy cardboard box suitable for clean storage, handling & travel.
