INSTALLATION
1. Turn off Ignition.
2. Keep your key fob (if applicable) at least 35 ft. (10m) away from your Toyota FJ Cruiser. This prevents your car from using power to transmit signals to your proximity key fob sensor.
3. Leave your driver’s door open for 15 minutes to allow your ECU to shut down completely.
4. Locate and disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug.
5. Plug in your Pedal Commander in line with your accelerator pedal assembly plug until you hear a “click.”
6. Make sure the cables are tucked in place so they do not interfere with your driving experience.
7. Place and mount the Pedal Commander to your desired location using the velcro and mounting bracket that's included in the box.
IMPORTANT
To avoid receiving check engine lights or other issues, it is important that you follow these instructions properly. Also, please ensure that you hear a “click” sound while connecting the plugs, as this signifies a secure connection.

This is a 1 minute install, and it makes it a new car. If you’re confused about the eco mode, it’s only going to save you gas mileage on a long trip. Eco mode actually makes the throttle response slower but the manual says to use it for a higher traction situation? I’m pretty sure the instructions for this are identical for every car and each unit is the same , they’re just type specific for each car.Eco mode just makes the throttle response worse. The race track setting or highest setting or whatever is a little misleading. This just speeds up the sensitivity for the acceleration. It doesn’t speed up or slow down the timing or remap it in any way.It’s still sweet though. You’ll save the same amount of gas if you turn it all the way up and just accelerate easily and drive in a more efficient manner. I will say the sensitivity on the super high setting is nuts and the city mode is just fine. Well worth the 300 bucks and I highly recommend it.

Ok right off the bat it’s the easiest thing to install just follow the instructions on your phone. Then turn on the car and have your Bluetooth ready, then set it too eco mode. Instant throttle control and MAN!!! When you put it in sport+ lol just a tap blasts you off instant. The day I got it I shared it with a couple of car guys that now totally want one.

(Is that bad? Not at all but it can be confusing to people that don’t understand what throttle response is).The cable could be longer to give you more mounting options.Overall: it will pay for itself when you use Eco Mode. This is a definitely worth your time and money.

I found my FJ cruiser stock throttle response a wee bit flat, so thought I'd try this product. It certainly makes a difference! The sport and sport plus settings are way too eager for my needs....this isn't a sports car after all.The settings are customizable though, so you can dial back or up on the base settings. I actually found the sweet spot for me was city mode and dialled down a couple of notches. That gave me a much better throttle feel without snapping my neck off. I have no idea what this does to economy....I suspect it may actually have a negative effect on everything except eco mode. Overall a good product, easy to install, but a tad expensive for what it is. The app is pretty good too.

The installation took about 10 minutes. It took me more time to decide on where to mount it than to actually get it running. I've only driven it for about 100 miles, but the available power is much more noticeable and I'm very pleased so far. I found a little mud to mess around in, the throttle response is much more natural and therefore, feels more controlled. I've read the Eco mode can be helpful when going over rocky terrain to keep the throttle more steady, but that's a test for another day. My first impression is that I should have done this day one.

This product did what it advertised. Toyota has been notorious for underpowered engines. Maybe that's one reason they last so long. I always thought a 4litre engine should have more initial pep. Now it does! The pedal commander gives my FJ a little more pop and response than stock. It does not affect the anti spin option but seems to apply more usable power to an otherwise sluggish acceleration. Most driving I do is urban and I use the sport mode so getting out in traffic is much better. Good product!!!

Very well made. Easy to install, Hardest thing is where to place the control pad. The throttle response has greatly improved with my FJ. Thought there might be an issue due to it being manual. Works great, have yet to explore the full potential of this unit.

Got this for my FJ Cruiser and i could not be happier. Had it for months now and i am saving on gas on low eco setting and i can not believe the difference in acceleration on its highest setting. Just wow what a great product!
