Admittedly I’m no expert on grease pencils but this pencil seems to have trouble leaving much grease behind. I tried using it to mark openings I serviced (plastic) - really had to go over it a lot to get a mark to show. Seemed like I could get a crayon and do just as well. I’ll try on a lug nut and update. Maybe my expectations were set too high. I expect the material to lay out more quickly and thicker.

Only needed one but bought the package because it comes in handy for many of my projects using wood. One last a long time so I think I'm set for life. Also good for marking metal. Recommend.
