I have a yard that is quite elevated in 60% of it and my mower would slide around in certain places. The chains have helped a lot with that problem. I should have put them on before now. Well worth the money!!

Tried to blade the snow off the driveway without chains - failure - bought chains - win. A lesson learned. These chains are great.

I tightened them as far as I could go and they were still too big. Tensioners helped some but not enough to make them work on a 18x8.50-10 turf tire unless maybe I take out an entire cross-section piece. I wouldn't recommend buying them for this size tire. A 9.50 might work, but definitely not an 8.50. The photo doesn't show well, it's as tight as it goes and there is still a ton of slop in the cross sections.

First off the nomenclature said "1" instead of "1 set" so now I have 4 chains because I ordered "2". I installed these chains on my Cub Cadet RZT-50 mower with a snowplow mounted on the front but had to remove one cross link of chain because they were too long. I then deflated the tires (with tubes) to install them and afterword re- inflated the tires. They are very tight on the tires and work just fine. I tested them on my driveway doing a few donuts on solid ice and they were an improvement but did slip on the ice.JJK
