This is a great portable UV unit, although the main downside for me is that the battery life is only 3 - 3.5 hours depending on if you have it on normal or high. So this will be sufficient for me for a lot of scenarios, such as Dr. visits. But if I was going to the ER and didn't know how long I would be...I might very well be long than 3.5 hours. (or same with air travel or a long car ride etc.) Although you can also plug it in and run it, both via USB wire it comes with and with a normal AC plug it comes with as well.When comparing to one of the standard portable purifiers, such as the Pure Enrichment Mini...its a bit heavier and bulkier...but I do like how it gives you a 2nd speed for some extra power. Super important for getting air moving in an enclosed space...so I will gladly take the slightly extra bulk...for decent performance. But its not a very big unit of course so it doesn't feel like its moving much air, and doesn't feel like it moves as much as the Pure Mini. The air does smell decently good though, albeit with a slight "clean office" smell I guess I would call it.Pros:More powerful than any portable UV unit i have used (still not very powerful though, but good enough.)The UV is a great feature as it will disinfect the air around youdoesn't need to change or replace filters eversturdy carrying handle that allows it to be easily put on its side to face just the right angle towards youCons:a bit bulkier than average portable cup holder units (but acceptable size)battery only lasts max 3.5 hours on normal speedsome slight concern about looking too closely into the UV light, although the vast majority does not leave the unit, and it seems safe + the instructions verify that. I just worry a little if you put your eyes right into it to peer into it...you can prob see a little of the UV light, so you don't want a kid playing with it for instance.Overall: while the battery life will leave this not able to serve certain portable trip functions...its great if you want to run it while plugged in/near a charger of some sort, or for periods of up to 3.5 hours. It also looks like it likely needs a larger cup holder to fit into, and won't likely fit into the small cupholders (although I did not test this.) Either way - this thing will serve various purposes for me...and likely help keep me safe. If you want a slightly thinner portable UV that fits into small/normal cupholders there are some units out there, but they have some cons to them as well. So overall...this is a really nice portable UV unit, and I am quite happy with it.

This was hard to write a review for because I couldn’t really tell if this is doing what it’s supposed to do. I ordered this air purifier to keep on my desk. I know it’s supposed to work for a very tiny area. It barely makes any noise. You have to put your ear right next to it to hear a sound. I’m just going to assume it’s doing what it’s supposed to do. I don’t notice any difference in air quality with it on. 4 stars may be a bit high but I didn’t want to give this low stars if it really works.

We have a chinchilla in one of the bedrooms and the dust bath that the animal uses tends to get all over everything and into the air. It isn't a good thing to breathe, and the central AC can't pick it all up from the air. We've placed this small air purifier a few feet away and it has improved the air quality and cut down on the dust settling other places as well. This is what we visually can see so I can imagine that it gets even smaller particles easily out of the air.It operates very quietly so it does not disturb the chinchilla, nor anyone who may be visiting, studying, or sleeping in the same room. I'd recommend this purifier if you need a small, quiet one for a small space.

Things I liked about this item:It came with a power brick which is awesome. Most things do not. Love the size which is great for travel. Also love that you can use it on battery power if you need to but can still plug it in an outlet.Main take away from this is, that this gets mixed up with other air cleaners with UV protection. This is not a HEPA style cleaner that cycles a lot of air volume to "clean" the air, but rather even better disinfects it very well with high power UV-C light that kills germs, bactieria, and mold spores, creating a bubble effect around you. You will not get a high volume of air on this like the simple air cleaners.
