It is typical cheap made in china quality, however it is reasonably hefty. I used it to get the tracking bar off my ford f350 in order to replace the bushing that was causing death wobble. It worked like a charm and the old bushing pressed out and the new one in without much trouble on my press. If you are trying to fix death wobble on a superduty truck you need one of these as a typical pitman arm puller isn't quite deep enough. The one thing that disappointed me about this puller is that it can't be used a 2-jaw unit. Oh well, overall it was a good purchase and it didn't break unlike all the harbor freight ones I read the reviews for.

It would not grip the angle of the v-belt

I used this puller to remove a pinion flange on a 20 year old truck. To say that it worked perfectly and was exactly what I needed for the job would be an understatement. The puller did not flex or bend under the stress, and worked just as well as the snap on puller that I have at work that I spent over 10x the amount on. The only thing that would make this puller better is being able to swap the head/tips out, but I would buy this again.

I was using this to try and take off a bicycle crank that was stuck on the bicycle, it didn't work, and the tool was too humongous. lol

This works well. Much more balanced and capable than the 2 arm units which can be problematic removing really jammed on bearings or gears. The arms are thinner than the threaded mount though - so the flanges don't mate well with the nut and bolt. They loosen and come undone as you are using the unit/moving the arms. Not a deal breaker... just fiddlyAdding some washers fixes this. You can then tension the bolts correctly and locktite them while still having movement in the arm. Nylock nuts would be a good exchange too if you pull this aparts to store and only use it occasionally.
