The school is very useful to put on serpentine belts. I don't know what I would do without it!

Used it during an alternator installation. Was able to reinstall the serpentine belt back onto the pulleys with this tool, without having to remove the splash guards under the car. Saved me so much time in not having to jack up the car to work from underneath. But this tool and keep it available for future maintenance. You never know when it will come in handy.

This is a review for the Long Reach Belt Hook Tool for Serpentine Belts. The item is nicely made. It is approximately 25.5 inches long. Description lists 29". ( I measured mine twice It is at most 25.5" long) The handle is 4 " of that length. The 2 prongs are about 3/4" on center. The open space between the prongs is approximately 1/2". The prongs are approximately 1-1/8th inch long. The distal or end prong is formed from bending the main rod. The prong closer to the handle is probably welded to the main rod. The rod has a good rigidity and a little flex. It may be 1/4" rod. I did not measure with a micrometer. All surfaces are finished well, smooth with no burrs on metal surfaces. The rod is coated and so far with use has not been scratched. The plastic handle is a vibrant easy to see. orange. My use is different. My little miniature dachshund was born blind. She is a double dapple. She is a "rescued" dog that was in hte county APL for over 6 months because nobody wanted a blind, beautiful and sweet dog. She is small maybe only 6 pounds but needed a way to be on a lead for walking. She needed a lead that would allow me to gently direct her into a forward path of travel. She wears a a harness, not just a dog collar. The harness has a handlers loop that is sewn to the back of the harness (runs along the dog's spine). It is 1" wide piece of nylon webbing tape. I can grab hat harness loop to safely lift her or to pick her up with. I attach the pronged end of the belt tool into this loop. I modified the plastic display hanger to essentially trap the harness web loop into the pronged end of the tool. This rod has allowed me to walk with her. I can guide her and keep her on the forward course. I can gently lift her front quarter to let know and warn her that she has an obstruction in front of her. It supports her weight as i lift her over a curb, so she will not stumble. If i had a larger dog that was well mannered, i suspect this would work as well. THE TOOL IS DEFINITELY STONG ENOUGH TO PULL OR MANIPULATE A SERERNTINE BELT INTO POSITION. It is VERY well made. The price goes UP and it goes Down. I purchased this item for $6.29 plus tax. in June 2023. The seller and shipper were both "Amazon". I hope you find it for less.If this review is helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thank you and please Adopt dogs that are disabled. They are wonderful, sweet pets.

This is a great product, save you some times to set up the bell underneath the car and less dangerous. But still have to be very patient to manipulate the bell in order to get into each pulley correctly.

We bought this tool to help change a belt on my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. The picture does not do this product justice. The product looks strong and like it will to the job well. It is about three feet long and very thick metal. We will not be changing this belt for a week or so. Once we fix the car, I will add a comment to let you know how it actually works. I’m so happy there were products like this available to help to fix my car.I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. Honesty is stressed for reviewers. Both positive and negative reviews are encouraged. There is no compensation or repercussions that bias my opinion. I needed it to help me install a serpentine fan belt but there wasn't enough room provided even for the use of this tool. I can see how it could be of use on other car belt applications and will keep it for future use. Didn't help me but still a good idea.

Works great in tight places. Has long reach, holds belt in place during installation.
