I wasn't sure how I'd like this product when I first ordered it for an old Wisconsin engine I have, but I'm so pleased by the simplicity of installation and performance, that I'm purchasing another ignitor and coil set for an old six cylinder chevy truck here. Great performance and no more points to deal with!

I have been repairing, fixing autos all my life as far back as I can remember and this kit (Pertronix 1541) which replaced my points set up on a Prestolite distributor for a 37HP VG4D Wisconsin engine made a world of difference for my needs. After I installed the kit the engine fired right up in under a seconds time! It used to take up to a minute to start it and the points were new as was the rotor and dist. cap. I was shocked at how well this Kit changed everything on my engine I really was. The instructions were worded poorly and did cause me some issue but I got past it by re-reading the instructions a couple times as I didn't want to make any mistakes.. I also installed a new Flame thrower Coil to make the conversion complete and work it's at its best. The motor is in a CASE 1537 Skid Steer machine which I rebuilt from the ground up. I have converted many small engines to this style set up but nothing as awesome as this happened.. Buy the kit and take your time installing it, buy a new coil for years of hopefully trouble free service, IMHO. Ty.

If you depend on an older gasoline engine electronic ignition is a must. No matter how cold the tractor busts right off and runs smooth! Plus no points to clean!

Pay close attention to ordering the proper part and you will get an easy to install perfect fitting strong sparking assembly that should be trouble free for a long time!!!! Be sure to check your coil rating.
