Got this to place under my dog's food and water bowl. my dog is a messy eater and spills water everywhere when he drinks. It does the job of being just a protective mat for my floor around the food bowl but could be better.It is light and flimsy silicone so the corners to come up sometimes. it is easy for this to fold over on itself.Also, my dog recently had an accident on the matt. Great, i thought this will be easy to clean!However, what i noticed is that this silicone rubber is great at absorbing bad smells. No matter how much baking soda or vinegar i use, i cannot get rid of the bad smell this absorbs.If id get a dog mat again, id get something more solid

My elderly cat seemed to have given up eating because her feet were sliding out from under her as she ate. I ordered the larger size of this mat and put her dishes at one end. It has just enough texture and softness to the surface to keep her little paws in place so she could finish her food! 😠highly recommend. It’s soft a pliable but thick and strong enough to do the job, cleans easily. 5âï¸

Had to return to buy more. These are great, I bought the 18x12" mats for a food bowl and water dispenser.Works great for wet food as my cats like to take large bites then step back and look around. Bit of spillage that easily gets caught.The water fountain also sometimes has some spillage or wet paws. I still have to put a towel around incase they walk off but due to the rubber base they can't accidentally knock it around.The side lip is a nice height to stop spillages but doesn't get in the way.
