DAKERES Pet Supplies Cat brush for shedding: I would give this 15 stars if I could! Although we have an indoor cat, I ordered this to try on my goats and horses, and it did not disappoint! What I love about this brush:1. All five animals (2 horses, two goats, and 1 cat) were groomed at liberty, meaning they were not restrained in any way and were free to move away if desired. All of them stood quietly for grooming with this brush and by their body language were really enjoying the session. It passed the comfort test, which is my first priority in any type of grooming tool I use on my critters.2. Removed thick undercoat from my short-haired goat who grows a very dense undercoat in the winter. The picture with the white, dense hair is just a small sample of what the brush pulled out. The picture of his neck shows the black hair that had been brushed and just above that the white/black mixed stripe where I had not yet brushed. He did not want me to stop!3. The horses are just starting to release their winter coat. The picture marked 'horse' shows a pile of hair that represents about 10 seconds of brushing. This brush pulled out the old coat that would normally take me many days to remove. I even used it very gently on their faces and they enjoyed it.4. The house cat also sat quietly while I groomed him. In a short time I had a nice little pile of hair.5. The brush is very easy to clean and sanitize.6. The brush holds onto the hair and it is very easy to grab the bundle and pull it off. This is greatly appreciated as most grooming tools for horses leaves me with a large portion of the hair on me! Not the case with this brush.7. I started with the 8 row side on the larger animals due to the thickness of their coats, then switched to the 17 row side to finish the job.8. Only removed the loose hair. Once the loose hair was gone, re-brushing an area did not result in removal of the new coat. This tool will allow my horses and goats to get rid of the itchy, winter coat faster so they will be more comfortable and I will have less hair on me or saddle pads. Worked for our indoor cat as well and I imagine for a long-haired cat and dogs it would also be very useful. Very highly recommend!

This cat grooming brush is great for dealing with shedding and matted fur. It works well for long-haired cats, helping to reduce loose hair and keep your pet looking tidy. The self-cleaning feature is a nice touch, making it easy to remove the hair from the brush. It’s effective and easy to use, though it might take a bit of time to get all the mats out. Overall, it’s a handy tool for keeping your cat's coat in good shape.

This seems more suited to a big dogs fur. For that it would be appropriate.

My dog was not happy with this brush. She had some matting and when brushing her it ripped the hair out. It goes too deep into the fur.Maybe this would be good for really long haired dogs. My dog is an Australian Shepherd. It was uncomfortable for her.

Reviewing Pet Supplies Cat brush for shedding - cat grooming brush, deshedding cat brush essential for cats for Long matted Haired Pets,BlueI have a Siberian cat, and he has the typical long hair with several layers. He doesn't mat much at all, but he often has issues with hairballs and getting rid of the shedding fur. As it's spring now, he'll be shedding a lot, and I got this to get him used to it. After using it for about a month, I can say that he really likes being brushed, and he never liked it before. I start with the wider tooth side to catch any mats, and then use the other side to really pick up the shedded fur that's been trapped under his long layer. Each time I did this (once a week), I was able to fill a sandwich size bag about 2/3 full. He's a happier cat, and I get fewer hairball incidents. The brush is really well made and sturdy, and I'm encouraging my kids who have a Maine Coon/Ragdoll mix cat to get one as well.

This works well on cats. It is durable and easy to clean. My cat doesn't love the way it feels, but they tolerate it. It works to get their fur removed. I rotate and use various fur removers depending on what I'm trying to accomplish. This one works well as seasons change and cats get a new coat. It is comfortable in my hand while using it, just be careful at the firmness you use it with on your pet.

We have both short-haired and long-haired cats. The short-hair has a very thick coat but no problem with tangles. This grooming brush successfully removed shedding hair from both the outer and inner coat. In fact, the cat started purring during grooming. The long-hair has a real problem with tangles that we need to struggle with every few weeks. This grooming brush easily combed through those tangles without causing any stress to the cat. The brush has two sets of teeth. The 9 set is to loosen and remove the tangles. The 17 set is for finish grooming and removing loose fur. The handle is very comfortable. The design and curve of the teeth prevented any skin injury or irritation. I am very happy with this order and the grooming brush is exactly as advertised.
