I'll be honest - I didn't realize how this was supposed to be used unitl after I looked at the pictures again. Using it like that didn't work well for me, so I'll continue using my weird way.I still do the "bag hand" to grab everything needed, and then tie it up. I'll toss that on the ground, and "scoop" the whole bag and let that sit in the scoop thing. Then, when I get home, I can easily drop it in the trash without needing to untie it or take it out of my bag. Since it holds well, I'll keep it on the leash.Using it as intended doesn't work at all for me.

PETIZER Dog Poop Scooper with Bags. The idea is you line the jaws of the scooper with plastic bag, then scoop, then turn the bag back to enclose poop, tie it off, and place back in the clean (we hope) scooper to carry until you get to a trash can. Well, it doesn’t work as well as that in practice. Our dog’s poop is often too big and sometimes trails across the ground. You’ve got to hang onto the open edges carefully so the bag doesn’t get pulled out of the jaws of the scooper. I’m as squeamish as the next fussy baby, but even I would prefer to just use the bag as a glove and pick up poop with my own dainty hand. The scooper at least can act as a little carrier so you aren’t having to stride along the walk path swinging a bag of what is clear to all is dog waste. Very nice to get the bags and the dispenser keeps them compactly rolled up. It guess it’s not totally useless, just a bit silly.

Bought this to replace the one we got when we first got our puppy. The previous one was a "medium/large" size and I personally felt it was too big to use with the bags. It didn't let you "open" as wide to pick up the poop. So ultimately it's a small and end up wasting bags to do the job. I chose this one cause it looked smaller and it also doesn't have the bag dispenser built in that took up space.This works great. Just like I had predicted, the smaller size of the scooper let the bags fit better so there's room for the scooper to 'open' fully. Even though it's "smaller" it's actually VERY spacious. I have a 55lb husky so you can probably imagine the size of her poops lol this gets it done!Highly recommend!

For me, carrying this pooper scooper on walks was just one more thing to carry that I didn’t really feel necessary since I can be more precise in grabbing what I need to grab with my hand in a bag. In the yard, on my daily poop patrol, I find this tool comes more into its own, being able to scoop up multiple poops makes the job go quicker. I do recognize though that many people are very uneasy about poop pickup (and some don’t bother to pick up after their dog because they find the job so distasteful) — if this makes it easier for those people to clean up after their dogs, then this is a valuable product! I find the bag dispenser, clipped to my leash, is an absolute must and this one works well.

This pooper scooper works well if your dog has healthy, small poops. I have 4 medium to large dogs and this scooper cannot handle their waste. It works fine on my smallest dog if she leaves everything in a small pile. However, she’s a travel pooper and makes her poopies on the go. I end up having to pick up and move 3-5 little poopies into one location. It takes a lot longer than just bagging it up with your hand. I can see this working well if using poop bags bare handed is too much for you. For me, I would rather use multiple bags. I don’t like having this in my car after using it and I have to leave this outside after walks. Even though waste doesn’t touch the scooper because of the baggies, it still feels nasty to me.

This is such a lifesaver for long walks and hikes. It clips right onto my backpack, which is super convenient when there’s no trash can nearby, so I don’t have to carry a used poop bag in my hand the whole walk. The only downside is that it’s a little bulky, but it’s necessary if you have a larger dog like me—-I’m sure you can guess what I mean. It also doesn’t hide smells very well..but you can always double-bag if necessary. I have been using it more as a “carrier†rather than a scooper, personally.Overall, this contraption is definitely useful! For the price and what it comes with, it’s pretty unbeatable.

My teen is absolutely grossed out by picking up our dog's waste, so I thought this funny grabber would enable her to pick it up. It was easy to put the bag in and wrap it around the 2 grabber cups. It's best to use this scooper only when it's more solid waste because the plastic is not see-through, so you can't tell if it's fully in the scooper and it could smear (eww). It is a bit too big to take on walks, so she just uses it at home.I do really like the included waste bag holder and the locking D ring clip. The included bags are strong, and it may seem insignificant, but the sticker to hold the bags together was easy to pull off without ripping the first bag. This would make a great gag gift or white elephant present as well.

I wish this was sized smaller as I have a yorkie and her poop size is like Vienna sausages opposed to kielbasa. While this device is user friendly, you simply put a bag into the middle and over the sides and pick up the waste - it is bulky to carry. This would be great for dog owners with larger breeds. I can’t imagine picking up large waste. For that purpose this is perfect!
