Nice product. Good quality. I have one in each room and my cats don’t scratch my furniture. They would rather use the scratchers. Sometimes the scratcher is perfect for a nap. My cats prefer the horizontal scratchers vs the vertical scratchers.

Our cats love this wave shaped scratch scratcher! It's durable and long lasting. All four of my cats love it and I've got them is several rooms. It really helps prevent them from scratching our furniture and other things!

As another person mentioned, the seagrass portion of this scratcher is attached via velcro... which is unfortunate (and why this product did not receive a full five stars), but I was fully aware of this when I purchased these scratchers (a little hot glue would EASILY remedy this).Besides that one thing, this scratcher is a lot like other ramp-style scratchers. The wood is solid, the texture is allurring (at least to my cat). He went for it INSTANTLY, even without adding the catnip (catnip went into the catnip canister for later use).I purchased these for placing around my bed to protect it from kitties who think the box spring is one big scratching post. I lay these on their sides and lay one around the corner of the boxspring, and it works great. The shape allows for these to be scratched by kitties laying down (Phoe will lay on his side and use the scratcher in the same way he would if it and he were standing up normally) without falling over (unlike a plain board)... and these are having no problem (even with the velcro) standing up to his scratching. The velcro IS strong enough to keep the scratcher on the wood, even using it in this way (I would think they would be even more effective standing up rather than on their sides). For the style of scratcher, you can't beat the price (I honestly couldn't find one cheeper), and if the velcro bothers you it's an easy and cheep fix provided you have hot glue or something like Gorilla or Super glue in the house.I purchased two and they are successfully protecting a significant portion of my boxspring (for some reason, the cats really only like one corner (thank universe.... it would be expensive to line the whole boxspring with scratchers!)) without any problems.

This is the third time we have purchased this item. This is the only cat scratcher our cat will use. We have ordered several others = she won't have anything to do with them. Perfect for our cat and has lasted a year.

My cat refuses to use as any other scratch post, I've tried numerous. I bought the original (the destroyed tan one) about 10 years ago and just now had to replace it. My cat scratched on the new one within minutes.

It's actually smaller than it looks in the pictures. I didn't measure it, but it probably has the measurements. I've got a 10 lb. tabby who's very active and it's a little too small for him. Initially he wasn't that interested in the scratching ramp, as I call it. But then he began using it. My wife said it was going to be torn to shreds, but I said that's good thing… it means he's using it.I'm posting a picture after five (5) weeks of use, and sure enough it's torn to shreds in one spot. I do understand this is meant to be used, but I figure it should hold up a little better than this. I'm not sure what the lifespan should be.

I think cats all have their own preferences for scratching: upward scratcher (sofas, curtains) vs downward (area rugs, carpets, furniture surfaces). I also think they have a textile preference for what feels good to claw into (shag, dense weave, nubby, etc). That being said, it is hard to say how cats will react to a product. My cat is more interested in our area rugs than any piece of furniture or scratch post, so we found this flat scratcher to be fantastic for our cat. It has two different scratch textures and a little feather toy attached that has held up quite well so far. The only negative comment is that it does have a light backing surface which doesn’t create a quality issue in durability, but only aesthetically because I’ve had it for 2 weeks and it still doesn’t lay flat (it still is popped up in the areas that were folded for shipping. That being said, I’m buying a couple more to put down in the areas my cat normally would claw the area rugs since she does like the texture and position of this product, which I think is well made except for that it didn’t go flat.

This is the second scratcher I bought for my cats. The first one finally got wear. Good product.

Bought this item about two months ago. Already had to get out my glue gun to repair it as it started unraveling from the center. My cat loves scratching posts and he went to town on this one. He basically shredded the material in the middle in the first month. Also, bits of the woven material flakes off after every use. It’s very messy. It’s quite expensive for something that won’t last.

My cats love this scratcher more than all the others I have and I love the color. This is the second one I have bought after the first one was worn out to the wooden base. I trim their nails weekly and yet this new one is looking shabby and torn after only a month - very disappointing.

I use this as a ramp up to a high cat flap, its great and the cats have no problem using it. Neat and practical solution.

WE like that they are extra tall. We wish the carpet sections could be replaced as they tend to get shredded. Seems a shame to have to buy a new one when our cats tear up the carpet section but I guess that's just marketing.
