Our new puppy loves blankets, and I've been looking for one more to add to the rotation. I usually buy normal throws, and was a little hesitant to buy a "dog" blanket since I was worried about quality. This blanket has far exceeded my expectations. Although it's waterproof, it is very soft and feels like a normal blanket. It has two layers, so it's sturdy, and the color is a very pretty pink on one side and a fluffy white "sherpa" on the other side. It doesn't slide as much as a regular blanket with the sherpa side down, so it's stayed tucked into the couch very well. Doesn't seem to attract or show dog hair as much as some of my other velour throws. The price was amazing for the size and quality. Highly recommend!

We got a new sofa and love seat and wanted to preserve them (for at least a little while!) from our two cats, who have a tendency to throw up hairballs. Anywhere and everywhere! These work so well bought a second set so we always have a clean one when one goes in the washer. A few threads pulled out a bit and they tend to slide a bit on the furniture but they are truly waterproof. Nothing has seeped through! And our cats LOVE the softness and love kneading the blankets. Highly recommend!

This blanket worked so well for our pup we ended up getting a second one! She (and we) absolutely love it.Very soft, comfortable and washes well. We've used it both as a couch blanket for her and as blanket in her bed since she likes to have something to kick around and snuggle into.

I have yet to find a truly 100% waterproof blanket that holds up to repeat washings and this is no exception. however, it does hold up quite well and is one of the better ones i’ve found. and i’ve tried a lot. it’s also insanely soft and feels like a regular blanket. Some things that will affect the waterproofing of a blanket are how much liquid, if it’s sitting for a long time, and how many times you’ve washed it (and if you’ve been washing it properly).if i was using them to protect things from mud, water, and spills i’d be able to get away with spot cleaning them but i’m using them for my older dog’s incontinence so they need to be thoroughly washed. I do cold and then dry on low heat and take out when mostly dry. i’m sure fully hanging dry would make the waterproofing last longer but that’s just not realistic for me. as it is, they’ve held up pretty well after months of frequent washing.one thing about water resistant blankets is if it is TOO water resistant you end up with a slip and slide situation and pools of liquid. depending on the type of liquid you’re trying to catch here, this can be a disaster. so you kind of want some level of absorbency. test it out with some water so you can see how the water resistant layers work. there’s a side that repels water and makes it bead up and a side that’s softer and absorbs and can sort of trap it. I usually go with that side facing up.as i mentioned, I use mine for my older dogs incontinence. especially overnight. She’s ~60 lbs so it can potentially be a lot and be sitting for a bit. I fold it in half so it’s double layered to go in her crate on top of a layer of disposable pee pads, which is then on top of the thicker bed that’s technically washable but that i’m trying to protect. the pee pads are just to catch the occasional breakthrough leak.These blankets have been a game changer. and are way WAY better than a regular blanket or towel. i keep a couple in my car as well because i’ve found they come in really handy.

Of the thousands of choices available this is the one! Great size, attractive pattern, incredibly soft and washes/dries beautifully. My 90 lb greyhound just loves it. I keep it on his bed in my family room where, to make the cut for me, it had to also be aesthetically pleasing. You and your pup will love it for all of the right reasons. My dog loves her fluffy blankets! And no matter which ones I get, she always seems to know which ones are hers and which ones are the families! Very nice soft fluffy throw! She loves them anytime, but she seeks them out more when she tries to hide from lightning! I tuck it in around her and I get the impression it's like a swaddle to her. Washed multiple times, used as a tug of war toy, and lots of snuggling, it has not fallen apart! Very nice!

I purchased this item to transport a new puppy home and to use once home. Love the product and has come in handy when there was an accident. However, if you have a pet that chews a lot, watch them. My 6 month old puppy chewed a hole through the material and then ate the thin plastic layer inside that makes it waterproof. He suffered some gastro issues and loose stools.

This blanket is good if you live in a snowy or wet climate. Used it all winter for my daughter's dog. Like the reversible feature....one side is velvet like the other is thicker, woolier.

Purchased this product as my cat gets frequent UTIs and pees on the furniture. I have this on my bed with the white fleecy side up as other reviews mentioned liquid puddles on the other side. I've been using for 2 months now and it has never leaked. I have washed it and dried it in the dryer multiple times and it has not shrunk. Also, it's just a soft, nice blanket. This product was a life-saver for me!

Only had one accident so far, but the blanket held up its waterproof promise. I washed it in warm water and hung it to dry. Took all day to dry. Super soft, my dog loves it!
