I usually get the standard type of cat carrier, this one is much more comfortable for me and my cat. The veterinarian commented on the great design. I highly recommend it!

My cat gets very anxious in the car and this is a great carrier for him. I’ve had him in a standard rectangular type of carrier and also a stroller carrier that can detach into a car seat and he is way more calmer in this one. Assembly was easy and it is very sturdy. I also love how you can take the top off completely. When the carrier is not being used I just leave in in his room with a blanket inside and he’ll hop in and nap or use it as a hiding spot to jump out and surprise us. Seems to be the most comfortable option for him to travel in the car with me.

This is exactly what I needed. It’s huge! Just be aware, the first one I ordered did not have a handle. Don’t waste your time calling Petmate as they do not carry this spare part and you will have to return it for a replacement if this happens to you. For size reference, this carrier comfortably fits my 20lb cat or 4 of my ferrets. The Lid can open to either side or you can remove it completely if you have a pet that is difficult to remove from the carrier. Overall I highly recommend if you need a large carrier. Top open carriers are also much more convenient than the front opening ones. I also have the smaller version of the top opening cat carrier from Petmate. Both great quality.

This has been outstanding for a 16lb cat, very easy to get her in and very solid design. My only wish would be for some sort of strap as it is very unstable to carry with the handle, tilts easily and awkward to carry in that has to be held away from the body due to design. Overall very pleased with the 'spaceship' as my vet refers to it. Would absolutely recommend.

This carrier is great for a litter of young kittens. It only opens from the top and has a wide opening which makes it easy to get kittens in and out. As you can see from the picture, I fit a cat bed and 2 older kittens into it comfortably. Highly recommend.

Used first time today amd was such a breeze to load my Floki. Zero trauma this time (he knows he is going to the vet and normally a small battle to get him in a regular carrier). Lowered him right down into opening and voila! Easy peezy. Thank you!

This carrier is just what I was looking for. It has a metal top door that completely detaches so if Kitty likes, Kitty can make this his hideaway. It also is put together with actual metal screws and bolts. No plastic “hardwareâ€. I purchased a large round fluffy cat bed to cover the bottom. A plush hideaway for Kitty.
