It's a good roost for a small bird. Inexpensive, easy enough to put together or modify.But you really will want a drill to bore a pilot hole for the screws. The wood is soft enough to split without one, if you aren't very careful or have bad luck. No idea why it doesn't come with pilot holes drilled, but it isn't a big deal at all.

Easy to put together. Works just as described. You must be prepared to clean the wood. I wish it were coated with something to ease in cleanup

These roosting bar is great for baby chicks, they love it. I highly recommend this product. This product is easy to clean and dries in minutes. The mirrors are very entertaining for them as well, I love it. The price is fair.

This was the only chick sized roost I could find with flat bars instead of round ones. Chickens feet need to be flat when they roost. Chicks loved it.
