I bought this carrier because it was the only one that was short enough to be compliant with Allegiant's dimensions. I also needed something that could fit both my cats. I'm very happy with this one! My cats are about 9.5 lbs each, so unexpanded the carrier is definitely cramped. However, as soon as I reach the airport gate, I'm able to expand it so they have plenty of room. I even completely expand it under my seat for the flight, though I probably couldn't do that if I didn't have short legs. The mesh has held up against the claws and teeth of my escape artist. I also really like the fact that there are lots of different ways to stick your cat in-- makes it easier when I have one cat in and need a good vantage point to stick the other in. My orange boy also thinks it's his bed, which must mean it's comfortable. Good quality for the price and would definitely purchase again.

Highly impressed, quality sturdy material and a beautiful design with lots of access options and doors and collapsible sides, and entirely foldable for easy storage. The reason I ordered this product (in small) is that it’s the only one I found that complies with the measure requirements for in-cabin travel on international flights. It fits my cats and my small dog perfectly. They range from 3 to 4.5 kg (6.6 to 10 lbs). It’s not very big - which is why I chose it - but it’s big enough for them to lie comfortably, and when I open the side « wings » they have a lot of space. I like it so much I just ordered 3 more for the entire family.

I have a 12lb shihpoo, I ordered the small and it was way too tiny. I ordered the next size up and it seems to be a better match. We are flying to Hawaii soon so hopefully we have no issues with the plane and size! It’s smaller than a duffel bag I would normally bring on the plane so I think we are good! 10/10Update: We flew Hawaiian Airlines with no issues! They weighed the dog with the kennel and he’s 12lbs and came out to a total of 16lbs total, they have a cut off of 25lbs for dogs riding in the main cabin, so it didn’t add much weight. I was worried it was an inch over the side restrictions but there was no issues or questions. I slid him under the seat and mid flight unzipped the sides so he could lay out! With a lot of research this was hands down the best choice! Lovveee the sides that open! Easy to carry, and durable support, not cheaply made! We now use it for car rides. A+

The carrier is sturdy and well made and fits my 15 pound cat , it's taller than others and when it is expanded it's even better. This was my third attempt to find a carrier to suit.

I had to drive my cats about 1000 miles when we moved to another state. I got these several weeks before and opened them up fully and put them around our living/dining room with some catnip in them to get the cats used to them. Worked like a charm. When I drove them, I opened one side and kept the other zipped so I could buckle the carriers in place in the car. The padding inside made the cats comfortable for our long journey. We stopped for an overnight at a hotel, & they were sturdy enough to stack on top of each other with the sides zipped up on the luggage cart to get the cats safely to our room. These gave me great peace of mind.

I have flown with my dog for 11 years now and I have never found a carrier that made her feel cool enough and calm - until this one.Initially we were going to buy the one side fold down insert, but as I planned to use this for day to day use, I sprung for the two compartment model. Please note that model is about an inch taller, it fits however in an Air Canada and West Jet cabin under the seat.The first time we flew with this our flight was delayed and I zipped open the compartments and she slept comfortably. Two other dogs on our flight were cooped up while we waited to board. When I fly with our dog in this we always get comments and people ask where we got it.Pros:- The bag itself is sturdy and has a frame that will keep it upright even when you're carrying it. There is nothing worse than carrying your dog and feeling like you are making them roll around!- The front, back, and top panel ventilation kept my dog cool during the flight.- The zip out compartments are perfect for layovers as the dog can stretch out and lay comfortably.- Great for day to day use, you can allow for as much or as little space for your furry friend!- There is an attachment that allows the bag to slide over the handle of your rolling luggage.- There is a handy pocket to put your tickets, treats, doggie bags, leashes, etc.When I set it up she climbed in immediately and promptly fell asleep!

This bag is very sturdy and great quality. If you need a frame that is not flexible, this is the right one for your pet. I love the option to expand it on both sides and the shoulder strap is very comfortable to carry the bag around (my dog is 9lb). But be careful, the height cannot be adjusted, as it is absolutely not flexible. So for some air crafts with max height lower than 11 or 9", this bag won't be accepted. Another con is that the expandable parts do not have cushion, which is available in other brands.

As soon as I opened this product my cat was so obsessed and has not come out. I love the versatility of the product where you can open the sides during car rides or when the plane is in the air. You can also close up the sides and use them as storage pockets! The base of this product is so soft that I will not be needing a blanket for extra cushion. The quality of the product feels amazing and my cat and I could not be more pleased!!! For reference he is a big cat 14 pounds and even with the sides closed it’s spacious.
