We use this for our zip line in the backyard. It works fine and looks like it will hold up well to the elements.

I recently put up a 90 foot zip line for my son. I used 1/4" galvanized cable.While this is a nice trolly it does state "for rope only" and now I know why. The steel cable quickly wears out the aluminum wheels, grinding a trough in them and slowing it down.I next purchased the Petzi SPEED trolly. It has steel wheels and bearings instead of bushings. The wheels show no sign of wear and it is MUCH faster than the Tandem so you must adjust the angle of the zip line to slow it down.A word of caution, there is a label on the SPEED warning that you must have a way to STOP so you don't hit the tree at the end! Heed the warning! I used a zip line BRAKE BLOCK placed several feet from the end tree to prevent hitting the tree.So if you want to zip on ROPE this unit is great BUT for cable get the SPEED.

I bought this product for a tree house zip line, though I didn't know if it was appropriate. There was no information at Amazon and I didn't find any other information source either. But the price was right and it looked like the trolleys advertised on zip line kit websites. When the product arrived (several days sooner than Amazon promised), the small instruction booklet was nifty, with diagrams for safe and proper use that could be interpreted easily no matter what language you speak.Only one problem: the diagrams all showed rock climbers using the trolley to traverse their supplies or themselves over small canyons or gaps. The instructions also stated that this trolley was not for use with cable, only for use with rope.The level of anticipation at my household had already built to such an extent that there was strong reluctance to turn back. The trolley appeared to be workable and so we moved into the testing phase. It easily handled our bucket with 60 lbs of weight. Test Two, it handled Dad just fine, a very fast ride, and we discovered some brake issues related to that. Once the brake block and bungees were upgraded, we moved into operation mode. It has served my kids well most of the summer.However, our northern summer is short, and the trolley is trashed. The cable bit into the trolley wheels and ruts developed there. There is now a strong likelihood you get stuck halfway down, hanging well above the ground. We will have to find a tougher trolley next year. I wish I had more information when I bought this one.

Prompt delivery. Works great in our backyard with 8' drop over 65' run; with this drop at this distance, the speed is nowhere near the 45mph rated, but it fast enough and safe enough for 3 yrs old to 40 yrs old to enjoy. Highly recommend for beginner zipline enthusiasts.

l'ho comprata per una teleferica autocostruita.l'utilizzo su un cavo di acciaio da 6mm. scorre perfettamente e non deraglia mai. Fa un pò di rumore, ma nulla di fastidioso.

Bin zufrieden mit den Rollen. Wir benutzen sie für eine Seilbahn für Kinder. Das Seill sollte aber straff gespannt sein, dann läuft es besser.
