I bought this one because I already own 2 that work great. This new model is an update but still lives up to the quality of Petzel headlamps I've come to depend on. The red light and flashing red are very visible and help maintain night vision. I highly recommend the rechargeable battery pack that goes with these headlamps. I've never used them to total discharge, so my experience is only 3 hours using high, medium and low beam as needed. I recommend this headlamp.

We live in the mountians in the woods and it gets super dark and night. There aren't any street light and we have beers and other wildlife. My husband walks the dogs several times a day and at certain times of the year it is dark outside at 6am and 5pm. He is able to put this one and it really lights up the area so he can see to walk. Bought 2 so we would have one in our RV to travel with. It came with regular batteries but I went on and bought the rechargable one and it works great.

I wear this headlamp a lot besides camping. It is great for lighting up an area where repairs are being made. I use it to read a book in bed without disturbing my wife. I like using the red light for camping and wandering around the house at night not wanting to disturb others or our pets. I like the little green light that stays on for awhile so it is easy to find where you set the product down.It's a little tricky to open the battery compartment but that is not something you would do a lot.

Not my first Petzl so I'm used to fighting with the case to change the batteries. Really the only flaw that I can see. I bought this one because my old one broke trying to change batteries.

um still not sure if you have to hold button down for so many seconds to turn it on. confusing on/off button especially in the dark. white mode is bright. red is nice for the walk in deer hunting.

Easy going to different modes. Turn it off and the ring glows, handy for camping.

This small headlamp has three light intensities. The lowest intensity will make it last the longest and is perfect for finding your way on a dark night. The highest intensity is great for finding something in the dark that you may have dropped. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Straight out of the box the first time I tried the product it worked. Took the batteries out and waited until my next camping trip to use. When packing I tried the item again and it would work 1 out of about 10 tries to turn the lamp on. The it would get stuck in certain modes. By the time this started the return window had closed. Last Petzl light I had worked for years. This one worked properonly once.

On ne présente plus la légendaire marque PETZL. La qualité à tous les niveaux un vrai bonheur. Lampe frontale indispensable pour nous dans notre oliveraie. C'est la deuxième lampe frontale PETZL que j'achète toujours avec la batterie CORE rechargeable pour nous en solaire. Plus besoin de piles jetables. Une économie même si c'est un peu plus cher à l'achat. Je recommande les yeux fermés cette marque.

Update 9.1.2024Bezüglich meines Empfindens hat sich nichts zum Negativen verändert. Alles weiterhin prima. Als zusätzlich sehr nützlich hat sich die Batterieanzeige herausgestellt:Beim Ausschalten leuchtet kurz eine LED in grün, orange oder rot auf und zeigt so den Batteriestatus an. Top Feature! Ich denke nun rechtzeitig daran, auszutauschen oder mir Ersatz mitzunehmen...Ursprüngliche Rezension:Das ist eine "Out-of-the-box & kurz-im-Dunkeln-draußen-ausprobiert" Rezension:Im Vergleich zum kurz vorher zur Hälfte des petzl Preises gekauften "China-Kopflampen-Doppelpack" liegen dazwischen Welten:Verarbeitung, Bedienung, Leuchtstärke, Fokussierung, allgemeiner Eindruck -> alles besserSehr gefällt mir, dass der letzte Farbmodus (weiß oder rot) gespeichert bleibt. Sehr praktisch für mich z.b. beim Angeln.Eine weitere nette idee: der nachleuchtende Ring. So kann man eine kurz abgelegte Leuchte auch im Dunkeln wiederfinden.Bin gespannt, ob es bei der Begeisterung bleibt oder doch Ernüchterung kommt.Aktuell meine ich: Man macht hiermit nix verkehrt, wenn mann eine Kopflampe ohne besondere Ansprüche sucht
