Get ahead of the freeze. Install these in easy to access locations. PEX crimper is not included, but crimp rings are.

A good deal of the water line in my basement is cpvc, which is ok and has lasted for a while, but I wanted to change it all over to pex for some peace of mind, especially since some of the line travels through a, not greatly insulated garage area, and I worry about possible freezing and bursting of those water lines in that section of the house in the winter.Having changed all the lines to pex makes me more confident that even if those lines do freeze, there's less chance of the pipes bursting. I do plan on insulating the garage better, but in the meantime, this was an easy project that didn't require too much, just about an afternoon.I put these ball valves in before the lines for three sinks, a toilet, and a tub. Buying them this way saved me money and ensured I had enough to finish up my project without the dreaded many trips to the hardware store for "the one thing I forgot" three times.

The crimp rings are a little looser than the name brand ones, and the fittings are little tighter than the name brand, but the rings crimp down tight enough to hold and with a little force you can get the pex tubing around the fitting. I used a few this weekend when running the new water and drain lines for the laundry room we're moving from one location to another in our home. I didn't get pictures of the water lines, because I was crawling around under the house and after I crawled out and remembered, I wasn't about to crawl back under there. But I can assure you they do work, and at the price point they are a bargain compared to buying from your local hardware store. 12 (6 red and 6 blue) for $35 as opposed to $6.50 each for a similar product at Menards. So literally less than half the price.

I purchased a new ice plunge tub and water chiller to put on our boat and needed shut-off valves for the inlet and outlet. In order to clean the tub every two weeks, draining it because crucial so you must be able to open the valves up for this purpose and when working on the pump or cleaning the filter you need to be able to turn them off. These are the perfect size for a small area/small purpose use. The valves are of high quality and the handle is substantial unlike others that are a thin piece of "sheet" metal or plastic. The turn easily given that there is not a great deal of water pressure behind them, but still, they slide and move with ease. The ridges on the two openings over which the hoses fit are easy to navigate and with a little dish soap, my hoses slid on with ease and have remained on without leaking nor hose clamps for a week. (NOTE: This package comes with hose clamps however they're not the standard hose clamps wo which you are used - I didn't try to figure them out but they are included).Overall these are great and were perfect for my use and I would highly recommend them.

I got these for an upcoming plumbing project I've been wanting to do in our bathroom. I'm planning to replace the shower valve and when I do I intend to install these shut-off valves below the shower valve. In most houses, there aren't shutoff valves installed there and it makes it a pain to work on the faucet when you have to turn off the water to the whole house. These valves appear to be very nicely machined. The ball valve inside feels very snug, the handle to turn it off and on functions well. Remember that you'll need a crimp tool to install these. It's a special tool for attaching PEX fittings to PEX pipe. They include the crimp rings in this kit and that alone is worth several dollars. I like that they made the handles blue and red, it makes it very clear what is the hot and cold valve.Considering the quality and price I am very happy with these.

Im doing some remodeling on my house and adding in a bathroom. I bought these to install shut off valves if i ever need to change something out in the future. So far with 4 installed i have had zero issues with these. Normally i get mine from the big box stores at about 6-7$ each. At that price they are way over priced compared to these. These hold up the same compared to those. They include the ball valves and a set of crimps (not copper rings). I've used both types in the past and found to have better luck with copper rings compared to the types provided but those will work if you have a crimper for those. With two weeks since install i have had zero leaks and the valves are closed right now since the water is ran but appliance not installed and have had no issues still. These will be my go to in the future if i can wait for them to arrive they are well worth the wait since they are so cheap.
