Was able to rescue a broken cartridge for a vintage turntable with these. No need to try and make your own.

My story: I bought a brand new genuine Technics headshell (not cheap) and then promptly broke one of the wire clips while trying to install my Shure cartridge. This was hardly my first install, but the original clips were triangular in shape, and just didn't want the fit over the larger round pins on the cartridge. These Pfanstiehl wires have a round internal shape, and fit great on the cartridge pins, but too loosely on the headshell pins. I was able to crimp them down with some difficulty and make them fit OK, and everything works great. (Since they are already round, you have to make one split edge of the clip pass inside the other edge to make them smaller.) Are they flimsy? Yes, but no more so than the OEM Technics wires. So if they will work for your application I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I needed these lead wires to connect an old Audio-Technica cartridge to a headshell. One of the wires was a little bit of a tight fit but that's not too unusual, from my experience. I just used some needle-nose pliers to get the wire connector over the prong, and everything works fine. I'm listening to some records on my turntable with this setup now, and all sounds good.As far as shipping--the item arrived earlier than expected, sealed and in great shape. Value for the price was great too!Merci, thank you, My Needle Store!

It has to be said, headshell wires are generally overpriced. These are on the affordable end but the wire used is bottom end and too rigid and if you have cartridges that you switch out for different listening needs the connectors won’t sstand up to much

I have Otofon cartridge the connectors on these wire are too big and I had to crimp them down to fit. As you know these wires a thin and there is not much room in tone head to work in so you have to be very careful.
