I remember when getting this much light out of a dive light required eight D batteries that would be dead after an hour or two of use. This is a really nice slim light that I can keep on a retractable lanyard clipped to my boy compensator and still fits in the side pocket. Perfect for daytime lobster diving where I donΓ’β¬β’t feel like carrying a flashlight around all the time in my hand and just want something to pull out when I come to interesting looking crevices or caves. CanΓ’β¬β’t wait to try it out this weekend!

This light has worked well for me on 5 dives so far. Note that the area where I dive is less than 33 feet deep, so I have never tested this light past 2 bar.It is very bright. The visibility where I am is close to 0 and this light dramatically helps me see the 6 inches or so that can be seen inside of a constant silt-out.Note that out of the water this light gets extremely hot almost instantly. Underwater, however, it has been the case for me that the heat transfers quickly into the water through the built in heatsink around the lamp.I have had it on for up to an hour underwater at times and it has performed well on all occassions. The included battery charger rounds this out to a really nice low cost dive light.

It's bright enough for a flashlight but the beam is super narrow so not amazing for use as a video light.
