FOLLOWIN pH Up and Down Buffered Control Solutions--Achieve Perfect Nutrient pH
pH control is essential for stimulating vigorous plant growth. Nutrient solution pH that is too high(basic), or too low(acidic), can not be properly absorbed by plants.
The pH scale measures acidity or alkalinity on a scale of 0 to 14. Below 7.0, the pH is acidic, above 7.0, the pH is alkali(basic), 7.0 is “neutral”. The best pH for plant growth is generally in the range of 5.5 to 6.5 -- slightly acidic.
pH down can lowers nutrient solution pH, pH up can raise nutrient solution pH.
TIP: After opened the PH down solution, the container solution will appear black precipitate, that is a condensate after the acidic substance is sealed, and this condensate does not affect the effect of use, please feel free to use it.

Compared this to another brand I got (in this case General Hydroponics), this thing is like only 1/10 the strength... It's very weak. The other downside is my pH constantly drifts, almost identical to using just white distilled vinegar for the pH down. I really don't think this is very good... I went through all 270ml of the pH down in just 2 days because it's so weak and the pH drift is such a problem. I won't recommend this for anyone.

Only reason I'm writing this review is to inform hydroponics growers that the ph down doesn't stabilize in a rdwc very well. The ph up so far seems to work but went through almost whole bottle of oh down trying to keep my pH between 5.5-6.3 pH seemed to drift up to 7.2ph constantly finally after most of the bottle over the course of multiple days it went to 6.8 at max. Used a different pH down from the local pet store and it solved it and actually overshot the minimum and had to use ph up. Seems fine now but just didn't work for me, doesn't seem to stabilize the mixture of nutrients very well. For a pool it might work fine or maybe a fish tank. With all the nutrients in my system it apparently couldn't handle it. This is just for hydroponics only could work fine in other applications.
