My husband didn't want to pay someone to tune our piano so he broke one of the strings. Still not phased he purchased this and installed did it himself. Overall it was easy to install, I hear no difference in the sound and it has held up nicely.

Replacing a broken piano string is a highly specialized skill. One should not attempt to do this without proper training. However if you do have the training and know the size of the wire you need, this is the perfect solution. You don't need to buy all the extra length you don't need and 10' length is more than enough.

I was able to replace a broken G3# string with the 15 gauge wire on an upright piano. (First time replacing a piano string). It sounds great and I haven’t had any issues with it.
