A bit too flimsy, the sticks have lots of burrs at edges, not that smooth but sanded then with 450 grit and fixed.

I looked locally for pick up sticks. The game was recommended for a Sunday school lesson. I had no luck. This set anrrived quickly and exceeded my needs and expectations. The pieces were sturdy and colorful. Best of all, the set came with eight little packages of 30 sticks each. I was able to use a set in class and then send some home with each child without having to count or repackage them. Perfect! Price was reasonable. Game is classic.

These are pretty low quality which makes for lots of inconsistencies in the individual pieces (some flatter, some pointed at the end, some dull at the end, some with extra plastic from the mold. For the price, they are a good starter set, though I would quickly seek a set that is more balanced and consistent with each individual stick. On the plus side, their flexibility does allow for unique reach opportunities into the pile for picking up by bending the sticks.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my eight year old grandson. He started playing with his 12 year old brother and before we knew it, his 13, 16 and 25 year old sisters, the oldest sister’s boyfriend and their 13 year old cousin were gathered around the coffee table having a blast while my daughter, her husband and I watched. It brought back memories of my girls and their friends playing when they were little and my sisters and I when we were much younger. This was definitely worth the money I spent.

These pick up sticks are excellent for picking up. They aren’t a game changer…because picking up the sticks is the name of the game, but they are excellent for being stick-like and easily picked up.
