I got this for my sleeping bag, but it's far too small to secure it after many attempts at rolling it as tightly as humanly possible. It's not happening, way too small. It might hold a yoga mat or a thin blanket of some kind like a throw. But if I'm going somewhere that I will need a blanket, it's gonna need to be a thick, warm one. I have no idea what I will do with this item. Very disappointed.

This blanket strap can hold a range of blanket sizes. I tried it with a small relatively thin throw (first hole, kind of loose, but holds it) and also with a king size throw blanket (last hole, snug) In a pinch it would also work with a yoga mat, but I would prefer a different type of handle for that.Speaking of the handle...it could be better.The part that you grip is kind of narrow and has a hard edge where it is sewn together. When I carried it for more than a minute the thin handle dug into my hand a bit and I can't imagine carrying it for a longer time. I will mainly keep it in my car to have keep an extra blanket rolled up, so for me that is not a deal breaker - but it might be to some people.The strap is made from synthetic leather and kind of feels like it. I am curious how it will hold up in the hot car over the summer and with repeated opening and closing.The buckles look like brushed brass and are very nice looking and sturdy.The blanket strap requires some assembly - it comes in three parts and you have to thread the two straps with the buckles through handle part - just make sure to have the sewn part face up, otherwise it is *really* uncomfortable to grip.
