Your cart is empty.Fusible Link wire is designed to open a circuit when an extreme overload occurs. Replacement links should be used only to repair factory installed fusible links with the original length and gauge being matched exactly. Typically, fusible link should be 4 gauges smaller than the circuit wire. **CAUTION:**Do not substitute ordinary wire for fusible links and do not replace fuses with fusible link wire as highly technical calculations are needed to determine the correct length and gauge of the fusible link.

Used on my '57 Chevy new wiring harness to the 8 gauge supply wire. Used crimp on connections with heat shrink and it worked great. Appears to be well made.

Initial impressions are very good. This is a 12 gauge fusible link. I’m using it to protect 8 gauge wire. I can’t tell you if it will work long term but I expect it will. It didn’t burn up when I initially hooked it up which means I didn’t screw up my wiring and it’s not undersized. I’m not going to test it at an overload situation so I’ll trust that it would save my car in the event of a dead short or an over amperage situation between my battery and alternator. It’s for sure better than what I had before which is nothing with regards to protection. It seems high quality product and there’s plenty left over where I can build up some spare links for backups or other projects.

Nice length to cut down for multiple uses from the small roll. Used 4-5" inches, 4 wire sizes down from gauge of protected wire. In other words this 12 gauge size would be used as short circuit protection of 8 gauge wiring. Crimp connectors on each end, and solder. Leave outside of any wire covering.

So far so good. It hasn't 'blown' yet but the quality feels nice and installs just like a piece of wire. I got 5 pieces and not a roll as it's described now, I got the same color shown in the pic (turquoise) and shipping was quick. I use it connected straight to my one wire 140 amp powermaster alternator on a 355 small block.
