I watched a video about piezo mics - specifically this one - on YouTube. It's a great price for a pretty good quality little microphone. One of my friends suggested I record a bowl of macaroni and cheese. So I did. Rather than use the built-in adhesive though, I just taped it to the bowl with masking tape. I plugged it in with a guitar cable into my interface, which was easy to do. And sure enough, I got audio that sounded like my fork in a bowl of mac & cheese. I put it up on Soundcloud, just because I can. So yeah, versatile little device here.

I bought this as an el cheapo just to see how it sounded. It sounded great. I'm keeping it as a spare. I bought a little more expensive one that has a volume control - Luvay. I suppose some kind of Fishman system would sound better (maybe), but for the price this is hard to beat.

It works fine. It's cheap, which is in line with the cigar box I was putting in it. The case did pop apart, but it snapped back together. No problem. It does what I wanted it to do. Would I use it on my Ovation or Martin? No. But I got it for a cigar box guitar & it's just fine.

Only sound the thing would make was noise when the cord was touched, and then it fell apart in my hand. Inside was crumbled. Package in perfect condition... beats me. Will try a different brand for sure.

It does exactly what I need it to, without anything complicated.

This is only 10 bucks, so it's good enough relative to that, but it definitely has a very lo-fi sound to it. I could not manage EQ a single bit of low frequency into this thing, lol. It does the job if you just need some volume and you are able to scoop the upper mids waaaaaay out of it, but I will definitely be buying something better.

After purchasing this my beat bug went down. So really didn’t get to put it to the full test. But worked good when I got to use it.

Worked very well for amplifying a ukulele for an open mic. Clear consistent sound without the inherent problems with a mic for live performance. Musician is free to move around the stage and ukulele can go into stage monitors without feedback.
