This was a great rainy day project for my daughter. It was easy for her to do on her own and she was happy with the result. I appreciate that it came with the paint and several brushes. It would make a great gift for an artistic kiddo in your life.

My oldest little boy absolutely loves pirates. When I saw this, I knew I had to get it for him. I've been looking for arts and crafts that he would have fun doing during spring break, or other times when he's stuck in the house. This paint by number set is perfect.This came in a tube that resembled a telescope pirates might use. I know he'll use it for other things as well, like storing the little pirate things he does have. It comes complete with paint, which is numbered, brushes, a photo of what the finished painting should look like, a copy of the pattern of the paint by number on regular paper, and the canvas he'll be painting on, which also has the numbers on it. I was impressed this is a canvas picture.The more I'm thinking about this, the more I think I'll wait till his birthday to give it to him. His birthday is the day after Christmas, and he's always telling me, that he wants to do some sort of craft project for his birthday. This will be it. He is absolutely going to love it.

I ordered this for my son who loves a good painting project. The packaging is super cute - it’s all contained in a sturdy tube and you can easily pack everything in it between painting sessions. Everything was very clearly labeled and the brushes it came with are perfect for the detailed painting. I will say the detailing is a bit too fine for my 6 year old so if this is for younger kids or kids without stronger fine motor skills, don’t expect it to come out perfect. He was happy as a clam painting away for a while after school the other day. The best part is he doesn’t need any help or instruction for me. He got a few sections painted; then once it as dry I was able to pop it all back in the tube it came in until he’s ready to paint again. These would make awesome birthday gifts to have on hand for kid birthdays.
