These wrenches were awesome. The only thing I would have different is get two wrenches that are the same size.

I have a remote site with limited storage space, and so I acquired these as a slightly more compact (and lighter) option to traditional pipe wrenches. They're different to use, but with a little practice I found they work just as well as the traditional design, maybe even a little better in some cases since it has the v-notched top that grabs around a nut or pipe. If you're old-school these might annoy you, but if your open-minded about your options, these are a good one.

These are solid well designed and well-constructed wrenches that can do just about everything that standard pipe wrenches do, and more. The smaller wrench is labeled 14-30 mm, correwponding to pipe diameter of 0.55-1.18 inches. The larger one covers pipes of diameter 1.18 inches (30 mm) up to 2.48 inches (63 mm). The main advantage of this design is that irregular and damaged pipes or other objects can be grasped and manipulated as long as they fit into the jaws. Gripping action is excellent- the teeth are sharp and large enough to do the job. I used the smaller wrench to remove a very corroded and rounded nut off a gate hinge. Definitely not for any delicate surfaces, these are rough tools for rough situations. An excellent value and highly recommended for any DIYer- you will be glad you have this set, or sorry that you do not.

As the headline states: Solidly Built - Versatile Pipe WrenchesWow! These pipe wrenches are built solid. I have a set of traditional "monkey wrenches" that definitely get the job done, but these "YBQSPLY" wrenches have a place for sure in my workflow. The weight of each wrench is about a third of traditional pipe wrenches and most of the time I don't need that extra heft while working under a sink; in a crawlspace; under my truck or on top of a ladder. The jaw is spring-loaded and slides to accommodate the size of a pipe or nut. The jaws have very sharp and grippy teeth so no worries about slipping off a pipe. I like how the bottom of the handle is designed as it can be used as a pry-bar in a pinch. For the price you get a lot of value for your money!

With a normal pipe wrench you can grip small items, these have limits both large and small. You can't use a large one, for more leverage on smaller pipe/items, it will not grip them. So instead of having a large and small pipe wrench, you need numerous sizes to cover different size pipe, more tools to store/carry around.

They are heavy and not made for frail hands. But they grip the pipe or whatever material you are trying to turn real well. They self adjust as described. They are a good addition to my toolbox.

This YBQSPLY 2-Piece Self Adjusting Pipe Wrench Set is very well made and nicely finished. In use they function better than a standard pipe wrench. You don't have to turn a pipe wrench adjusting knob because the spring loaded jaw clamps on to whatever you are wrenching. I tried the smaller wrench on 3/4" ID galvanized iron pipe and the larger wrench on 1 1/2" ID galvanized iron pipe. In both instances that grip was very tight and there was no slipping. This configuration of jaws also works well on non round items. For instance I was able to remove the twist from a 2"x6" plank while building a deck. The price of these makes them a bargain read it.
