Bad all around , the jack did not work very well and when I finally got it working and ready to lift my first log …the peg that swivels slowly peeled away from where it was supposedly welded. The return process is lengthy and still haven’t received my refund. I was only lifting max 700 lbs. I don’t know how even a good one will lift 1500. This will seriously hurt someone if it lifts something off the ground due to no amount of reinforcement where the most stresses are applied while lifting.

Does not lift objects high enough to put them into the back of your truck if you go with this option expect to get a bigger bottle jack for it

Swivel base weld broke with only a 200 lb load test. Can't return because I had already gotten rid of original packaging. I'd go with other options available.

The box was banged up a bit and could not have used to return the crane. All the parts were present. When I assembled and tested the crane on my pickup the jack would not raise more than a couple of inches. I bled the air but the jack continued to get more air into it. I dissambled the pump and cleaned the parts. The oring looked new and the crush washer was scored but looked serviceable. I reassembled the pump but could not tighten to my satisfaction with a 12 inch adjustable wrench so I used a 1/2 inch drive Makita battery impact wrench with an extension and deep well socket. The pump now works as it should to full range. No new air in jack when pumping. The pump was not tightened enough from the factory. Also it was low on hydraulic fluid. I filled it wit automatic transmission fluid I had on the shelf. I haven't used it to lift something yet. When I do I'll probably raise the rating a star. The first project I want it for is to load a whole house generator into the pickup.

I really consider this a 4.5 star item.Functionally it is great. this crane is really heavy duty and it is quite functional. Its very heavy so keep in mind that the crane itself is about 55 to 60 pounds. the hitch mount parts are roughly 40-45 pounds. The wright is not something that I consider a con of this item. It simply has to be heavy duty to have the lifting capacity it has. This crane had a lift strap in the box as well which was not even advertised but really nice to be included.I love the swivel is on dual bearings. being on dual bearings helps is rotate into the truck bed or whatever with out an insane level of effort. Some cranes just have bushings and they take much more effort to rotate. The welds are decent. Not amazing but totally functional for this item to work within its limits. This crane only has 2 cons which are minimal:1) The paint is not durable at all. This is a heavy piece of equipment and the paint scratches and chips easily. Not a huge deal since I did not get this to look pretty and it will not rust through in its lifetime. Powder coating would honestly have been more appropriate here but again, it is not a big deal.2) The jack rod is a little flimsy. Again, this is not a big deal since its more than adequate to pump the crane jack within its limits. I like stuff to feel a little more solid but it honestly does not impact its function in any way.If you're looking for a heavy-duty truck crane, I can see no reason not to choose this one. It has a higher capacity than its competitors. That capacity is not just a number thrown out, it's just much heavier duty than the other hitch mount cranes.

At the highest set rating of 1500 pounds, the bearing shaft will snap off if you try to lift a 300 pound engine block. Completely unsafe product!

Trash. Cheap steel failed when lifting 100lb, missing pins and the jack leaked oil everywhere. DO NOT BUY.
