My only complaint about it is the scales for KG/LB. The metric scale is more prominent in location and color, so my eyes are always pulled to that scale and then I have to shift. That being said, this scale is a real bargain. I am a small Kona coffee grower in Hawaii and a 100 pound scale is sufficient for my needs. The hooks for mounting it are lager and can be used in a number of ways. There is a zero adjustment screw and the scale is very accurate. I used some exercise weights to confirm the scale. At this price it is a real bargain.

I use this scale to weigh hay and it works perfectly. I took a plastic storage bin, tied a loop of baling twine on each handle. I brought the loops together and then hooked them together in the middle with a carabiner. I just hook the carabiner onto the large hook on the scale and put the hay into the bin to weigh it. It's easy. Can also be used to weigh bales in the field up to 110 lbs. I have only had this scale for a couple of months, so have yet to see if it holds up. Have no reason to think that it won't.

I purchased this to weigh 30 lb propane cylinders for my camper. The scale was received on time and in good condition. It seems to be accurate to within about a pound and is close enough to tell me how much propane is left in the cylinder. My propane cylinders weigh 47 lbs full and 17 lbs empty. I store this in the back of my cargo van so it gets bounced around a lot and each time I use it it needs recalibration. Recalibration is a process that takes a few seconds but is a little fussy. The glass (plastic actually) is brittle and cannot take a beating so be careful not to drop it. I took mine out of the box and immediately dropped it on the concrete breaking the glass, bummer. In summary: if you are looking for a scale in this weight range that doesn't need batteries and is accurate to about a pound I recommend this one, it works well.

Some of the reviews here don't seem to understand how calibration works. It's a hanging scale, so it has to be calibrated whenever you use it, but its extremely simple to calibrate. It may be .5 of a pound off give or take, but it does the job. If you want a very accurate scale, spend more money. For the price, this is a good scale.

I bought this to weigh horse feed with. Did not want to get a digital one that may mess up in the extreme cold and/or heat. The only issue I have had so far is that I am an idiot and was reading kg instead of lbs. The kg numbers are written in red, on top, slightly larger, and more frequent than pounds. I never use kg, and I am in the US, so I just assumed lbs would be more prominent than anything else would be. That is my fault though. haha Other than that, I have it free hanging to weigh my feed, and it has been accurate so far. The "tare" on it allows me to zero out the bucket I use. Yes, the hooks are large, but that's nothing a vice couldn't fix or additional preferred hardware. The hooks work fine for what I am doing.

I purchased to weigh bags/sacks of pecans. It works very well. I'm not really sure on accuracy since I haven't yet taken a sack to a certified scales to weigh it but seems to be close vs bathroom scale. Its easy to use and easy to read.

I use this scale on a tillering tree, which is a device used to bend an archery bow while you are in the process of making it. It works very well in that capacity. The bows I have made so far only have draw weights around 30 pounds, but I like that this scale will allow me to make very heavy warbows. The scale is difficult to read from about 10 feet away (I use a cord with a pulley and stand back) because the numbers are small. I use a piece of blue painter's tape cut into an arrow shape to indicate the target weight that I am going for. The S-hooks that come with this scale are kind of ridiculously huge and were not useful for me. I bought hardware separately. Do not try to write on the clear plastic face with a dry-erase marker. It will not wipe off easily.

Easy enough to use. I was using scale to measure hay for my miniature horses. Weight seemed off but I assumed I was used to feeding too much. Finally checked the scale after two weeks of use and it is totally inaccurate! A 5 lb weight registers 18 lbs! A 10 lb weight registers 37. Very disappointed. Scale is no longer in returnable shape. Could have cost me a lot in vet bills because too severe a diet can cause severe consequences. Don’t waste your money.
