The PIUH Soap Melter with Soap Making Supplies Kit has everything you need to get start making soap as a fun activity. It provides plenty of options to make it your own. If you are just getting into soap making this will get you off the ground in a hurry, If you are already into soap making this product might not be for you. This is all entry level equipment, and will need to be replaced or upgraded once you really make this a hobby. I didn't have any issues with any of it, and it was fun to do with the kids, but you can tell it's not for a serious soapmaker.

The clean-up was a breeze! This item is very easy to use and heats up quickly. I don't consider this a problem; just be ready with your ingredients. The cleanup was effortless!

if you're okay with using it for couple months, and then switch to a better model, by all means go with this. But this is a cheaply made melter with soft plastics. And I think if you squeeze it hard enough, you can even pop the inner pot out of the plastic casing.

Candle making has been a hobby of mine for a quite some time but I’ve started to experiment with soaps. With candles, I started with more simple options and moved up to a purpose built melter. Now I am trying this purpose built for soap melter. It is nice to have something with this much capacity. It holds a lot with a small footprint. It got to temp quickly. The temperature setting was accurate. I used a separate thermometer to double check and make sure everything was at the correct temp. I didn’t have any issues and I feel like it is much more convenient and consistent than a pot and burner set up. The controls move smoothly and remain in place once set. Pouring was effortless. When done, clean up was no worse than any other similar apparatus I’ve used.
