I wasn't sure if this would interfere with the tailgate on my 2002 Tundra. It isn't clear on the pictures, but it comes down over the license plate by an inch or so, rather than sticking up at all. You could adjust it slightly by bending the metal, but it worked fine for me out of the box.

I installed a backup camera in my wife’s older car. This mounting bracket allowed me to install the camera without having to drill holes in the sheet metal. Worked perfectly.
