I'm using this to connect to an MCU UART port to my Windows 10 computer. Initially, it did not work - I did a quick search and immediately found a YouTube video by another Windows 10 user which explained how to obtain and install an older driver. I'm using driver version 3.3.2.105 and it works fine.

Mac OSX High Sierra now requires to authorize kext that alter the system; this includes the Prolific drivers needed to get this device to work.OSX Installation Process:One thing that is not mentioned during the driver install process is that after authorizing the driver to be installed, OSX will ask to restart (before the driver has finished installing). DO NOT RESTART at the first prompt. It will cause your OSX to become inoperable and will require you to reinstall your OS from backup (e.g., Time Machine). Instead, say tell OSX not to restart, wait for the Prolific installation window to finish, then it will ask to restart. It's safe to restart at that point. To be safe, do not trash the files until you have restarted. Hopefully this will help any Mac OSX users with the newer operating system (10.13.X - macOS High Sierra and later).Driver Information:The prolific drivers may not working when using `screen` from terminal. You may find that you need some other (older) drivers. A google search should reveal usb serial drivers.

This cable is reasonably well made. It worked on a Windows box, until an update last year. Now it is useless. There is no evidence of a Windows driver for this device.Knock off tried to use other vendor driver is rejected.Deleted other drivers and installed the one from these folks and the cable died after a day of use. #2 cable died in a day. #3 cable died in two days.Either their hardware is junk or the other vendor is trashing the drivers ...STAY AWAY

You get what you pay for. At $3 each I don't know what I was expecting. The boards are well made but the wires and USB header are very very poorly soldered. I resoldered everything before trying them and all 3 work fine. Just something to think about before ordering them.

I tried to connect a JK-B2A8S20P BMS to a Raspberry Pi 3 running Victron Venus OS by using JKBMS’s TTL to RS485 adapter connected to a RS485 to USB adapter. JKBMS does not give you support or answer their email. I had installed dbus-serialbattery drivers and they were working properly. I bought these and it worked perfectly. These cost just a fraction of the of the other setup and is a much cleaner install. Just use the TXD and RXD wires, do not use the red or black wires.

I bought this to connect to a RigExpert AA-30.Zero antenna analyzer. It works great under Mojave once I was able to find the right driver (there are a couple different drivers floating around out there, be sure to install the one labelled for Mojave). Works with Antscope 2 on Mac OS X and AAplot. In a Parallels Win10 virtual machine, works fine with Antscope for Windows, too. For reference, RED = +5V, BLACK = GND, GREEN = Tx (connect to Rx2 on the AA-30.Zero board), WHITE = Rx (connect to Tx2 on the AA-30.Zero board). The price was excellent, and quality seems perfectly fine.

These are simple to use. You DO NOT need to hook up the red 5 volt wire. This is for 3.3 volt TTL serial data to a Raspberry Pi or other 3.3 volt micro-controller serial port. Simply hook up black, green and white. Install the downloaded windows driver, or use with linux. They work great. You can't beat the price. One of my cable failed, and the vendor replaced it within 2 days. Great Service!

I ordered a set of these for my hardware hacking but have had a bunch of problems with them:1. They're unusable on modern Mac OS (Mojave, Catalina). Maybe this is Apple's problem but still I wouldn't buy these again for an OSX machine. Buy cables/adapters using SiLabs' CP2102 chips instead.2. On older Mac OS (High Sierra), I had to buy add-on serial drivers to be able to use these reliably, and then they were OK. Again, maybe that's Apple's fault, but they're still useless, and only usable after you spend more money. Sadly, the add-on serial drivers no longer work in Mojave or Catalina.3. Both the routers I've connected this to and the Pi it used to be connected to would hang if the cable was connected at boot time. That makes them generally useless for hardware hacking and anytime the power went out . In fact, I think my Pi would actually hang/go into the kernel debugger if the USB end was unplugged or the system it was connected to went to sleep (thus turning it off). What a hassle!I should have just returned the whole batch and bought different cables/adapters, but I assumed all my issues with the first batch were just that... a bad batch. And since I forgot to return those in time, I now own 6 of these pieces of junk. The cost of the cables doesn't even compare to the frustration with them, however :/

Es un buen modelo de cable pero no parece ser el más resistente, le puse una cinta eléctrica para evitar que se abra el USB, porque parece como flojo el conector.Pedà 6 y al parecer todos funcionan, vienen en bolsas aisladas
