It's sturdy, I'll give it that! Very heavy. But it looks and feels like plastic and has a pretty nasty gouge out of the top...Too much of a hassle to take back apart and the box was ruined in opening so can't return it. We should have known better - you can't get good quality for under $400 - but it's a bummer for sure!

Very sturdy table and beautiful design. This table makes our dining room look classy! This table is perfect for our needs. We have 6 chairs around it and it works perfectly fine. Again, very strong table and beautiful made.

It's unfair to drop a rating because an item is damaged in shipping, as that's typically a shipping issue, not a manufacturer or seller issue. Mine arrived in great shape, luckily, but there's issue concerning the finish. It's thin, like it could really use a few more coats. I'd planned to apply varnish to protect it, but I haven't had a chance yet, and after only two weeks the finish is already flaking off in multiple spots. That's honestly disappointing considering it's a table presumably meant to handle food, and drink, and washing? We've been exceptionally careful with it, too -- not leaving wet cups on it, keeping a towel beneath dishes, not doing any projects or crafting on it... We haven't even wiped it down yet, so this really shouldn't be happening.Now for details I would have wanted to know before purchasing:I put it together myself as a 5 foot average strength female. Everything went together smoothly except for a couple screw holes that were angled and took a bit of trial and error to line up properly. When I finished assembly it was on its side. Because of the weight and size, I did need my 10 and 11 year old children on the other side to help me lift it to an upright position. LOL I left out the center bar at the bottom because I didn't want bother about dust collecting under there, and it's still very sturdy without it. If it ever seems wobbly, I'll attach it. It's a solid, good looking table. I have the Becket Metal X Back Dining Chair, and three of them fit snugly on each side with room for two more chairs at the ends. Aesthetically I prefer the look of three on each side, but functionally my littles prefer extra room, so we have two on each side and on the ends. Photos for both included! :)

We LOVE this table. I’m not the strongest, and the wood was pretty heavy, but my husband and I were able to assemble this table super quick. We get compliments all the time and people asking where we bought this from. It doesn’t get rings or staining from leaving a glass or anything with condensation on the wood (which is great when you have kids). The table is so sturdy and I would imagine it’s easy to pair with tons of different types of chairs due to the color being black and the style being a mixture of different looks. Highly recommend!!* Ignore the lighting in my picture, we were testing out different bulb colors. *

Love this design, simple yet eye catching with the different angles. The wood is solid and seems sturdy, I wanted to love it so much but we had issues with every single part of building it. The screws aren't long enough, lock washers had to be left off in order for them to screw in. A couple of pieces don't line up flush even with working on it for a while. One of the screws cracked the top of the table using minimal effort with a screwdriver which I purposely chose instead of the drill to avoid this. One washer was missing. We had to rig it up really to make it work. I wanted to send it back but we decided to see if through and are just going to keep it.
