I have purchased a variety of these type of craft boxes in the past but these have to be the best ones so far. I purchased 7 of them and every single one of them were constructed in a very precise fashion. The dividers are not flimsy at all and fit together well enough that I could easily store small seed beads in and not worry about the dividers coming loose and the beads mixing. The overall box itself was larger than average and you can adjust the size of the compartments easily. They are also deep enough to hold bigger items. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for craft type boxes. Only thing to watch for is that the dividers need to be trimmed well or the lid will not close properly. May also need to "squeeze" the compartments so they snap in place. No matter, they are very good boxes. They are advertised as being American made but I had to double check as I expected to see that they were made in Germany as they are made to equal well-known German manufacturing. I will be buying more of these in the future.

People tend to complain about the dividers, but if you wanted storage with 46 small slots then you shouldn't buy this. This product is for organizing small items with removable slots so you can change the size of each slot.The product is made of thick sturdy plastic with strong clasping clips. It comes with 20 uncut dividers and I personally used them all (making 24 slots) in 4 different sizes. The dividers also fit snugly so they don't slide around. I love that I can use this to arrange my small pieces easily and have larger slots for my more common pieces. I make chain mail jewelry and this is perfect for organizing my rings by size, color, and metal type.The lid fits snugly against the dividers preventing mixing between the slots. Which is perfect unless you're using 1mm beads then they may slip through.Overall, for a $6 product it is excellent, effective, and sturdy.

There's nothing really wrong with it so I don't know if it is fair to give it 4 stars or not. I am giving it 4 becuase it is not as practical as another stowaway box I got that was extra deep and had a different configuration of the storage compartments.This box's compartments are situated in rows and you can add the dividers as you wish in measured increments. The other deep storage box which I prefer to this one had a large open are on the right and several rows on the left which was more useful for me, but again this is for my use and may not be the same as yours.In terms of the materials and stuff there were no manufacturing issues, the plastic seems to be holding up fine. I don't know if you could store it with buckshot and expect it not to break but for tacks/pencils and things like that it will be fine.If the deep storage container is not practical for what you need this for then this will suit your needs. Hope this helps.

it has feet to stand on its sidedoesnt mean it will when full because of weight transfer but if putting it on a shelf it it will sit flat

I currently have sixteen (16) of these Plano Prolatch 3700 utility boxes, stuffed full with nails, screws, nuts, bolts, washers, and similar for my home woodworking shop. None have failed me yet, even with those surprisingly heavy loads. In fact, no sign to wear to even suggest they might fail anytime soon.When they first arrived, the latch on one box wasn't really tight enough to securely lock the lid. This was resolved by removing the latch (pops off with considerable force outwards), applying a little heat to soften the plastic, and increasing the curve in the latch. This decreased the space between upper area of the latch where it attaches to the lid and the lower area of the latch where it engages the lock tab on the box. The problem on this box has not returned, and all the other boxes also still lock securely.Each storage box comes with enough dividers to split the box into the maximum number of compartments listed in the product description. If you lose some of those dividers or need to divide the box even further, the company (Plano) will provide small quantities of extra dividers at no additional charge. See the FAQ's on their website for more details.Since these boxes have served me well for some months now, I just ordered another ten (10) to replace a worn out drawered cabinet holding my electronics parts collection (resisters, diodes, switches, knobs, wire connectors, etc). The customizable compartments virtually ensure those parts will fit inside well.

Got this because it wasn't much of a price difference between the name prand Plano and the off-brand ones... Sturdy, holds everything in place, and great for crafts, lures, and board game pieces.

La caja esta perfecta, cumple con todas sus funciones a la perfección le doy solo 4 estrellas por el embalaje ya que llego cuarteada, me imagino que la quebró el ancla que venÃa con ella o por la manipulación en el envió
