Lost my first in red river gorge and bought another. Works great! After years of use the pieces that go by your temples and ears stretch out. Didn't scratch. Case works great.

These are nice belay glasses with glass prisms that don't scratch being cleaned. Sturdily built.

After certain ophthalmic surgeries - vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair - a gas bubble may be placed in the eye, and the patient required to maintain a face-down position for an extended period - up to several weeks. With these glasses, you can look down but see straight ahead - to watch where you're going, or to watch television. They're a great addition to the recovery kit.

These work great. Only problem is that when they were attached to my harness and the rope was pushing back and forth against the case, the strap tore and they fell, and now I don't have a way to attach them to my harness anymore. Should have a stronger connection method.

Upon receiving the YY Vertical Plasfun First belay glasses, I am impressed with the packaging and quality. The glasses are flexible yet have a sturdy feel. The slight magnification is nice, and the prisms are crisp and clear while fitting over my prescription eyewear easily. The case is sturdy enough to protect the contents, and the zipper seems durable. The cord is also very nicely constructed, and the extra screws and cleaning cloth are a nice touch. I look forward to using them and saving my neck on long belays.

I was initially pleased with these belay glasses, but my belay glasses broke this morning while I was adjusting the hinges.I received these glasses at the start of this month (delivered October 5), and they broke after 26 days (on October 31). I would use these while belaying my partner at least twice a week, so these glasses broke at the hinges after ~8 belaying instances.These glasses are not expensive, but I would hope that they would last longer than 8 uses.

I have mixed feelings about these belaying glasses.What I like about them is that they help with my neck strain from belaying and are comfortable to wear. The vision is nice and clear and the case is easy to zip open and close.What I don’t like is that both handles broke off less than a year in because the screws fell off and got lost. Without knowing the screw size, I didn’t fell like replacing them through trial and error. Luckily I was able to put the handles back using short pieces of paper clip wires (see picture), which has surprising lasted longer than the original screws. I guess at least I’ll know which glasses are mine lol. Also I own various pairs of glasses so it’s not normal for the hinge screws to fall off at that rate, hence the 3 stars.

Selbst bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen hatte ich nie Probleme, den Kletterer zu sehen.Tragekomfort: Die Brille ist leicht und sitzt bequem auf der Nase. Auch nach Stunden des Tragens hat sie nicht gedrückt oder gerieben.Robustheit: Beim Klettern geht es nicht immer zimperlich zu. Diese Brille hat jedoch alle meine Abenteuer unbeschadet überstanden.Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Der Preis mag höher sein als bei anderen Modellen, aber die Qualität und die Leistung sind jeden Cent wert.FazitDiese Kletterbrille ist ein absolutes Must-have für jeden Kletterer, der Wert auf Komfort und Sicherheit legt.
