I bought these for the intended use of keeping papers together. I decided to put them in a chain to keep them together, then discovered my cat liked to play with them. So a section of the chain became a cat toy for a while. Also, it happened to be Christmas time, so I put the chain on our little mini tree. It was great! In fact, I kept them on the tree and just kept the few I need for my current use. Some were a little harder to fasten than others. I only had one that would not fasten. I am very pleased with this purchase.

My hands couldn't handle pulling apart the metal rings any more when putting flashcards together for students. These are EASY to pull apart and stay together.

The quality of the product is just OK, but it's a good value for me the price ($9). I recommend these for simple use (not heavy duty). They'll work well for holding a few pieces of paper together like I need.

I got these rings to replace a spiral binder that was way too small for the contents of the book it was on. Unfortunately, at 4mm thick, these rings are way too thick for most pre-punched holes. To really allow the pages to turn easily, the holes need to be a standard hole punch size, so if that is what you are dealing with, they will do great for you. Otherwise, if you, like me, are using them on something with typical spiral bound holes... these will NOT work for you. Look at metal rings with a smaller thickness for the ring itself.
