A metal chain is not always the best option
While common thought may steer you towards believing that a chain made from plastic is inferior to one made of metal, this is not always the case. We mean, metal is obviously more durable than plastic, why would you buy the weaker material? Well, not all chains are created equal and you shouldn’t always stick with what you know. There are thousands of uses and projects where the sheer bulk of a metal chain becomes impractical, to say the least. For those light-working, high visibility projects, vibrantly colored plastic chains are what you need.
Whether it’s partitioning off sections at clubs or restaurants; creating visible safety/emergency barriers; or haunting Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas eve, plastic chains give you the look and feel of metal chains without the burdensome weight. Less weight equals less work when it comes to the set up and the take down. But plastic chains are also all-weather purposed, meaning rain or shine, even after extended use, they will not rust or color fade. Further adding to their appeal are the factual matters that plastic chains are easier to repair, easier to cut, easier to handle, less likely to tangle, and far less likely to cause damage or injury. And when available in colors such as vibrant yellow, plastic chains offer higher visibility that is especially valuable during nightfall and battling inclement weather conditions.

Houseables’ plastic chains have a light-duty plastic construction with black and yellow coating. come wrapped around sturdy reels. When fully extended, these chains measure out to 124 feet in length (for partitioning off short to medium distances). Each link of chain measures 2” with a ¼” thickness. Weatherproofed to prevent rusting, fading, and early break down, giving you long-lasting performance, indoors or outdoors.

Great product. Bright color and stands out from a block away. If Someone does back ia car nto it ... It snaps without car fender damage... Simple yellow heavy duty zip tie and you're back in business. Light weight ez to move and seems it will last years outside.

Our property is on the edge of a golf course. We were tired of people driving their carts through our yard so we thought we'd give this a try. We purchased 36" shepherd's hooks to hang the chain from. The chain looks great, does the job and has held up very well going into it's second season. The fence is almost invisible from a distance which we love. The black looks just as good as when we bought it. No fading or chipping of color. Very pleased with this product.

This plastic chain is perfect and durable for a lightweight chain. Easy to cut and arrange. I used it to establish areas at my summer home that I do not want plowed in the winter. It's also a seaside area and didn't want a heavy metal chain to rust. It's hi-vis yellow and can be seen at night. I used it in combination with some orange traffic cones. Wanting to keep my plow company from digging up grass and pushing driveway gravel into big piles. having to fix up each spring. Perfect for my needs would by again

They came in a large box and the plastic on all 5 where tore up and all the chain that was rolled up where off there rolls and a mess to untangle but the 2" chains are nice! I have put up many of these chains around my driveway and they get VERY BRITAL and break very easy!! Hoping these 2" ones hold up to the sun better!!!
