2 1/2" thermoplastic breakable cap prevents entry of foreign material and protects female threads on pin lug fire department connections (FDC). The most common FDC is 2.5". Caps protect sprinkler and standpipe connections. Specifications: Molded red thermoplastics Used on pin lug females Diameter of circle is 3 5/8" (not including tabs)
Plastic breakable cap prevents entry of foreign materials and protects the female threads on pin lug fire department inlet connections (FDC). Breakable to permit fast fire hose connection. Two eyebolts with nuts for attachment to female pin lug swivel are included.
These caps will fit the most common Fire Department Connection (FDC) 2 1/2" NH / NST.
Finger tighten only... Do Not Use Pliers!

I don’t know why but people steal these caps for your sprinkler systems dry standpipeDo yourself a favor and buy these breakable plastic ones. Otherwise people will steal them for the salvage metal $$$.
