My eyes are generally pretty good, but I found reading the numbers a real challenge. First to discern if it's the right way up, then to resolve on the numbers. Using occasionally for hobbies is probably OK, but if you're in engineering you'll be way better off getting metal feeler gauges.The are what they claim and and good for measuring gaps!

Although it is plastic and easy scratched, it is really tough plastic because they will measure between metals. And the range of thicknesses it has is excellent.

This is my first 'metric' feeler guage set. For years I've managed with SAE sets made of brass but I know that metric standards are becoming ubiquitous so I've somewhat reluctantly gotten 'on board'. These are not brass but plastic...another 'new' standard I guess ;-)In any case they are nicely marked and seem to work well. My one caveat is the plastic ring they use to clip them together. It does seem cheap and flimsy. I will replace that with a metal spring clamp eventually but otherwise it's a handy collection of metric feelers at a good price.
