Plastic synthetic poly rattan webbing blends well with antique and modern furniture pieces. It can also be used as a perforated screen for kitchen cabinets, wardrobe doors, caravan cabinetry, and as decorative panels for restaurants, bars, and shop fit outs. In wet areas, the poly rattan webbing's resistance to water is the perfect choice.
Most common ways of fastening the webbing include stapling the overhangs on the back of timber frame, preferably with a rebate and finish off with timber trim. For furniture restoration, clean out the existing groove from debris and fit the webbing with contact glue and new rattan core pith (usually 1mm smaller than size of groove). To secure webbing directly onto panel backing, use contact adhesive.
We recommend using a heat gun to make it more malleable and easier to work with. Just be careful not to overheat the plastic as it will deform.

When I ordered this the description said rattan but I missed that it’s plastic so it’s very stiff and doesn’t work for what I ordered it for, it’s meant to be used to replace rattan seats. Color is nice but it kept unraveling at the edges so I’m not sure how easy it would be to use

I bought this to put on the bottom of this bench and it worked really well, I attached it with a staple gun. The appearance is just like real cane, I’d never know it wasn’t. It was a bit difficult to cut but that’s probably more of a comment on my scissors and not the cane. Very nice!

Regular rattan material. It is light in color and very natural, you can stain it a darker color if you want it to match a specific piece. I plan on putting these on my nightstand drawers and staining them to match my darker wood.

This plastic rattan webbing is perfect for DIY projects. It's easy to work with, cuts cleanly, and gives a nice, classic look. The roll provides a generous amount of material. While it's plastic, it has a surprisingly realistic rattan texture.we used it for cover on the backs of stairs and are very happy with how they look in hiding the old wooden stairs.

Ok. So I had to do a lot to make this material look good. First of all, it unravels SUPER easily, which is horrible when you’re trying to work with it. It was very difficult getting it installed on this cabinet. The color is also very yellowish. I wound up white washing it with some paint after I installed it. I had to use a hair dryer to get the wrinkles and dips out, which worked great. It definitely served its purpose for what I needed it for, an inexpensive way of updating my cabinet. The end result is pretty good.

I know it's plastic, but it has a really nice look and flexibility to it. I got it to frame as an earring holder. I was thinking I could paint it if the look of it was too unnatural, but I was pleasantly surprised. I might still paint it, but it looks good as is.There's a lot left over, so I'll have to get creative and figure out other projects for it. But it's honestly such a high quality product, I'm looking forward to using the rest of it.
